Ali Edwards mentioned in her story class this month that she is considering moving to 9x12 for PL next year. Considering how her projects are always centered around her products, I would not be surprised if there are 9x12 albums (and hopefully 9x12 page protectors) set to be released soon in the Ali Edwards shop.

As long as we can purchase page protectors for 9x11 albums I would be interested in this size. I have had trouble finding them in the past.

It would be good to have more 9x12 although I’d really like someone other than SC/Ali to be making them.

I thought I remembered someone posting awhile back that she had said or hinted about 9x12’s coming to her shop in 2019 🤔. Seems like it was around the time everyone was speculating about SC dropping it since they hadn’t restocked anything in quite some time.

If it weren't for the fact that she inflates everything to a ridiculous amount, yes I would be. But given the high cost for them from sc i expect them to be something like $15 for 10 of them.

Excited about the possibility. Not excited about the price. Inked/Ali appear to take SC prices and add 20% mark-up to sell at Ali's shop.

No way I would change to a system that no other manufacturer supports. As much as everyone bitches that they can't get supplies from SC that fit 9x12, why would I trust they are going to have supplies for Ali?

The ship has sailed for me on 9x12. Its too expensive as an international and SC are too unreliable.
I vowed never to buy 9x12 again unless someone like SS or WRMK release albums. If I want a larger format than my 6x8, I’ll use 12x12.

Not interested in 9x12, especially since can’t trust them to keep them/restock. All that hype around the story planners (still like the system), and they didn’t restock the dividers even once. I’ve got the stickers with no dividers to put them on (am sure I can make my own dividers, just frustrated I bought the $10! Sticker pack for labels I can’t use).

I like the idea of it as I think the size would be a little easier than 6x8 for me, although I hope they will continue to support 6x8, too. These albums and page protectors seem like a standard item and I'm a little concerned how they seem to come and go at SC and AE, which makes me leery of even bothering with 9x12 (for my 12x12 layouts, I use Creative Memories albums which I love since it seems to be the "core" of what they sell). I don't want to have to jump and order when they have what I want available, I would like them to be there when I need them!

I'd be tempted if they were THREE HOLE standard and they had the design options that an overseas company was polling on earlier (it's the same design I really pushed with Echo Park). 3 3x4 and 3 4x6. If it is the same that SC currently sells, then I'm good. I have tons of the 7paper ones that I managed to snag and am hoarding just a bit. So I guess for me it's not just 9x12, it's a specific configuration. While I use more 3x4 photos, I often have to forego a 9x12 insert because one side or the other needs the extra 4x6 slot. You can always double up 3x4 cards or photos (which I do all the time in my 12x12 4x6 pockets) but you can't easily cut through 4x6 photos and I refuse to make the concession.

I completely agree with this. I thought about switching to 9x12 years ago when it first came out, but I kept waiting to see a page protector that had 3 4x6 pockets and 3 3x4 pockets. It kind of seems like a no-brainer for PL layouts. You put the photo in the 4x6 pocket, you journal on the 3x4 card next to it. Boom, you're done.

It kind of seems like a no-brainer for PL layouts. You put the photo in the 4x6 pocket, you journal on the 3x4 card next to it. Boom, you're done. The thing is that Studio Calico doesn't think about the broad spectrum of scrapbookers. They've become all about hopping from trend to trend and using photos from your phone and/or social media which are often square or vertical in orientation is part of that trend following. They don't care about the people who like the size but aren't bandwagonning the hobby (there are some that scrap this way that aren't bandwaggoners, but a lot are). I was going to use 9x12 for a specific vacation (and bought several albums and as many page protectors as I could find because I felt that it would be a great way to document all sorts of trips not just the one I was already planning to use it for...different purchase than the one listed above) only to realize that because my husband often had our infant daughter in one of those infant carriers strapped to his chest he had the camera a lot as I was the one on the rides with our sons. He takes almost exclusively horizontal photos. I tend to take more vertical ones for the sake of space in my album (I don't need 3 per year, 2 is tough enough as it is) so the thought didn't occur to me until I started to sort the photos from that trip. It was only 2 days at Disney, but we took enough photos to fill an album and I will hold out hope that one day I'll have the configuration I need so I can complete the album. I considered 6x12 (3 4x6) in between but I have a PL album with a LOT of smaller than 12x12 inserts in it and I ended up with an album that has a really thick center and a good chunk of the outside 3-6 inch space loose and flapping around. I really don't want that for this trip because I'd have to use as many 6x12 page protectors as 9x12's. While each spread would look fine, the album as a whole would not.
