I couldn't find the original thread about this but I finally got my homemade corners cut. I bought the yarn gauge rulers from hobby lobby and cut them in half with a plastic cutter I happened to have in my tool arsenal. I was a little impatient so they aren't perfect but they should work. I'll add a picture in a sec... eta (I was on my phone and it's easier to add a picture on my pc). here it is, sitting in my travel size TH.

Nice! The edges shouldn't matter too much...it's the inside edge that is important, right? I hope they work out for you!

Yeah as long as the long edges are straight that's all that matters. I'll try to use them during this card challenge coming up.
eta: they aren't magnetic at all, so if that's something I need I'll have to figure out a way to get magnets affixed to them. Probably have to drill out shallow areas for that.

You could either buy magnets for them or just place them in the holes when you're using it? No idea if that would work, but logically it seems to make sense to me...

I can't take any credit for this idea. It was posted in one of the positioner threads.

I think a hole type drill might work on them but I'd be afraid of breaking the whole corner.

Can't you just draw the marks on the stamp positioner with a Sharpie?

Those look great. I think they’ll work nicely. Until you can add magnets can you just tape them down with washi or drafting tape?

Gale, those are great! I bought those rulers and haven't tried cutting them yet - and I have one of those cutting tools, so I have no excuse Instead of magnets, I'm thinking of putting Scotch Poster Tape on the back of mine. That stuff holds pretty well but peels back off without leaving residue. I've been pondering possible ways of getting a magnet in there, but like you, don't want to break the plastic trying to make it work. The other thing I was thinking of trying was cutting some of my magnetic vent cover material to cover the entire back of the magnet, with the white side showing thru the ruler (so you'd still be able to read the ruler markings). The vent covers are not nearly as strong as the magnets, but they might be enough to keep the corners in place.

You'd have to make sure the magnet sheet is cut precisely straight and applied perfectly lined up because once it's on there, that's what the paper will end up butting up against.

I was thinking, stick the magnet sheet to the ruler and then use a craft knife to cut it - because I'm not very good at precise anything
