My brother's annual crock-pot cookoff is this coming Saturday. I need a killer recipe. I'd like to win the golden spoon this year!
In the past I've made chili, BF's Italian beef and beef stew. I would like to try some kind of appetizer or something that totally wows the crowd.
Past winners have been: white chicken chili, pig wings, seafood stew and venison chili.
Can you throw me some ideas? TIA!

Sorry I don’t have a recipe for this, but in the past, I’ve been to chili cook offs where the more unusual, but not totally crazy, chilis have won. Like one year, I saw a kimchi chili win. Maybe a tweak on that old favorite could be good. Another crazy thought: What about those cakes or bread you can make in the slow cooker? Could be a wow I make this in a dutch oven, but you can do it in a slow cooker, and it’s a huge hit with guests. I’d add a little more salt, since its a recipe from Cooking Light: www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cookinglight.com/recipes/beef-daube-provencal

My most popular crock pot recipe is beef brisket. I use a beer (or a can of coke or ginger ale if you don’t want to use alcohol), a package of onion soup, some brown sugar, a good bbq sauce, some worchestire sauce, some steak spice and a tiny bit of broth. It falls apart and comes out like pulled pork.
Besides that I mostly do lentils soups and no fried retried beans.

How about cider or hot chocolate. Lots of recipes on Pinterest. Some sound like delicious rich hot chocolate.

My family loves this Ultimate Beef Stroganoff recipe. I make anything my family member wants for dinner when they are having a birthday. Many of them request this for the main dish.
I'll edit this to add that my favorite place to buy meat is at a Sprouts store. It makes this recipe extra good.

I have made these baked beans for a work potluck contest and won. They are delicious.
Killer baked beans
1lb breakfast sausage 1lb bacon 1lb kielbasa 2 cans kidney beans 2 cans butter beans 2 cans pork and beans 2 cans navy beans 1 cup ketchup 1 cup BBQ sauce 8 tablespoons mustard 1 cup Brown sugar 2 tsp salt 2 tsp pepper 2 tsp chili powder
Cook all of the meats prior to putting in the crock pot. Drain the butter beans and navy beans. Combine all ingredients in the crock pot and cook on low until hot.

I've no recipe to share and all the ones offered sound amazing but....I'm all about the cheese. Give me cheese, I am one happy girl. Perhaps a crock pot lasagna? Uber savory, melt in your mouth lasagna. I'd be ALL over that.
