Okay, so I updated my phone and iPad to the new ios 12.0. I have found a bug on my phone but one I am living with I guess. Not sure how to turn in bugs. Anyway, the "bug" on my iPad I cannot live with! When the updates are done, it removes your apps then puts them back on. Not so on the iPad. It took away my apps, and they were not but back on. I find them in the store again, and instead of "install" it says "open." I open them and use them. They stay on my iPad for a day or two then disappear again! I am going nuts. Anyone else having this problem? Why won't the icons stay there? It is a pain in the butt to open them from the store every time. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks!

Then go to IPad Storage. Click “offload unused apps” to Disable it. That should fix it. Right now you are telling it to offload apps you aren’t using all the time.

elaine, when I click it, it says I enabled it. Hmmm? I will see what happens. Thanks.

elaine , when I click it, it says I enabled it. Hmmm? I will see what happens. Thanks. Have you also checked what it says in Settings: iTunes and App Store? You can turn it off there. I thought you could do it from the iPad storage page, but apparently you can only turn it on there. I don’t have it turned on and my apps aren’t taken off of my iPad like it sounds they are being done for you.
