My car is 10 years old and getting close to 200k miles. My youngest daughter attends a local private school, and as I’ve driven through the parking lot alongside shiny Teslas and enormous luxury SUVs I’ve come to refer to my car as “The Old Gray Mare”. She ain’t what she used to be.

My car is “Nellie”—a 328D BMW. She is named for a friend who was the classiest lady I have ever known. My friend died from breast cancer, and was wayyy to young.

I've never named my car, but my twins' car is named Janet, as in "dammit Janet" from Rocky Horror.
Oldest DD's car is named Steven II after she totaled the original Steven. I have no idea where she came up with Steven, and the cars are completely different makes and models.
I guess I've got to get with it and give my car a name.

I've always named my cars. In my area personalized plates are a big deal...I named a shortlived Audi A6 I had Ruffian due to it's color. Ruffian was a thoroughbred filly back in the 70's. As I said, the car was shortlived so now my 2008 Black MKZ has that plate. I also have a 2016 Red MKZ and keeping with the thoroughbred theme, he is 'Affirmed'.
It's funny how, before I got the 'Affirmed' plates, no one knew who I was, and complained.
When we talk about the cars, it's, "Ruffian needs her oil changed." or "I need to get new tires on Affirmed today."

Dh’s truck is Cool Blue (according to him) Dd’s Jetta is Zippy. After driving the truck and my SUV for years, he’s definitely zippy!! My 4Runner doesn’t have a name, though it should. The SUV or The 4Runner is very clunky to say. We should probably call it something related to transporting the dogs as that is its main job.

My car is over 15 years old now. I love it dearly, but it is still an "it" not a "he" or a "she". I tried, really I did, but no names have ever stuck.

We're boring and have My Car, Your Car and The Truck. And the possessive changes depending on who is talking.

RV - Irving Mini - Stitch My Land Rover - Still deciding on a name. DH’s Land Rover - Hamish DS22 Land Rover - Wanda DS 16 Range Rover - Buck DS 18 Range Rover - Tony DD 12 Land Rover - was Reptar when it was DS22’s but now it’s Roxy.
Tony and Roxy and Buck and Wanda are from the TV show Bones. We started with Wanda because the tire cover on the back says Not all who Wonder are lost. Wonder -> Wanda. Oh and DS18 also has an old bug but it doesn’t have a name yet. We probably aren’t keeping it so it may not get named.

My husband called my car "Lucille" the other day. I guess because it's a red-head. I don't think it fits. If we're naming after redheads we need something more "fiery" My husband's work truck is called "the work truck" and the older truck is called "The 08 (oh-eight)". We're so creative. LOL
I did have an olive green wrangler we called Oliver. Because of the color and because it could go "all-over" the place.

First car I ever named was my convertible. She was gorgeous and I named her Molly.
My family car is now a shiny sparkly red Kia Sorento. I call her Ruby. I LOVE my Ruby!!

I didn't think to name our motorhome. It's a Tioga. Any ideas for me? have a 2013 Hyundai Azera (which I LOVE LOVE LOVE) That's a slick looking car. I'm thinking something like a soap opera star name...like Blaze or Rico. Rico Suave? But then alliteration with Azera would be fun too.. Aziz the Azera?

We've always named our vehicles. The kids were better about keeping Betsy clean than they were about cleaning out the van, swim?
currently, we have:
Inga - my 2006 pearly silver Honda Odyssey Scarlett - DH's 2009 Accord Tootsy - DD's 2012 white Accord Ladybug - Mom's red Nissan
In the past we've had: Betsy - the first van DD remembers from her childhood Kermit - DH's green Accord, sadly totaled several years ago Piggy - the Odyssey that took such a bite out of my budget Lady - the Chrysler LeBaron I sold when DD was born
We keep our cars forever, as you can tell by how old they are, and we try really had to maintain them. Sadly, Scarlett is looking a bit ragged these days, but we hope to get many more miles out of her still.

Only one of my cars had a name, and at that it is only used when referring back to it, not so much when we were driving it.
It was a huge white Pontiac something or other (i think, lol). We called it Orca, it was a killer whale! We were rear-ended once at a red light and I think we got a mini scratch. Nothing bothered that car!

Our light blue Hyundai is named Charlotte. My two previous cars were "Blackie", which was a black honda and then we got a Hyundai that was named "Blackie Junior" though we just referred to it as "Junior." The only thing was, it was dark red.
