Oh, I was really behind the times on thinking they gave money to America’s favorite...I watch too much Big Brother. Did Christian really vote for Mike? That doesn’t seem what I would expect of him.

Just a few more thoughts. I am also really surprised at Christian's vote for Mike. Has anyone heard him comment of that?
TBH, I'm shocked that Alison voted for Mike as well, but if Mike made a final two with her and with Kara, they must have had tighter relationships than we saw.
DD and I were really surprised at how nasty Angelina was towards Alison. I can understand her not wanting to go to the finale with another better liked female, but she didn't seem to have the same concerns about Kara. Did we miss something?

I'm glad Nick won. I didn't really care a lot until the last show and then I decided he earned it. I'm surprised Christian voted for Mike as well, but I think they had a bond and they were so similar and understood each other so that's where his vote went.

I am really glad Nick won since it couldn’t have been Christian or Davie, Any insight on Chritian’s vote for Mike? I would have thought he would have voted for Nick. He said something when holding his ballot before dropping it in the urn. He said he respected the strategic part of his game. He realized, I think, the way Mike was playing one person or group against another and seeming to be friendly with all players—or most of them. Mike may be a master strategist, but I didn’t like him for some reason on Amazing Race, and Survivor did not make me like him any more.

ETA2: it's probably very wrong and stereotypical but when I hear "person of color" I immediately think of black and not Hispanic. Still don't know how this affected her game. LINKCall me clueless and maybe not paying attention if she said something earlier in the season.. She said she was a person of color, I was like what?? White is a person of color?? I didn't even know she was Hispanic.. When I hear "person of color" I guess I immediately think of someone who is black as well. Yah I was confused along with you all, I was thinking, hmmmm person of colour, ummmmm do you mean brunette?? 😣 like huh?

I really enjoyed this season, it’s the only TV show my family watches together besides football.

I know it's Survivor - outwit, outplay, outlast. I think he was over-acting!

Am happy with Nick's win. He is very likable. Is it just me or do you guys think everyone looks better without make up and all scruffed up? Not only do I think the girls look better unmade, but I like the boys with their beards and scruff better than their polished TV looks when they were on the jury or at finale.

He was, it was quite awhile ago. He appeared with his dad. He was also on an episode of Pushing Daisies I was watching yesterday. He is not a great actor. I am glad he was not the winner, I did not think he was that great of a strategist, he just played both sides all the time.

Dad and I have watched every Season of Amazing Race together. I don’t remember him. The reality shows seem to have a fair amount of cross over players. Aren’t there enough people interested in being part of these things that it would be unnecessary?

We finally watched last night. Glad Nick won although I would have preferred Christian, Davie, or a few others who were on the jury. Angelina is going to be one of those players who gets a real shock when she reads social media and realizes how much people dislike her. She truly is delusional. I'm just glad I never have to see her in those leggings again. It was a fun season with some great game play and truly awesome tribal councils! Also, with 70 people weighing in and by a vote of 75% to 25% ~ I think people prefer one season-long thread. The tribe has spoken! Am happy with Nick's win. He is very likable. Is it just me or do you guys think everyone looks better without make up and all scruffed up? Not only do I think the girls look better unmade, but I like the boys with their beards and scruff better than their polished TV looks when they were on the jury or at finale. Most of the time yes but occasionally they look better. I think it's because we're so used to seeing them on the island that it's a shock. Cara looked better natural. Alison looked better at the reunion. IMHO,

My DH read somewhere that Jeff Probst said he would like to see Angelina as a returnee in the future! Jeff and I need to have a little talk!

DS and I finally got a chance to watch the finale and reunion last night. We were thrilled Nick won. When he won those last 3 immunity challenges I was jumping up and down in my seat. This is the order of who I wanted to win before the show of who was left: Nick, Davie, Cara, Mike, Allison and NOT Angelina. I respected Mike's game play but during the course of last night's viewing I hated the way he treated Allison. I was also really upset when he orchestrated the move to get Davie out although I do give him credit for game strategy. I felt very bad for NIck but I think it did help Nick's chances of winning.
Angelina-Oh my gosh where do I start? That woman really doesn't see the truth about herself does she nor does she tell the truth about anything she did. She did NOT find that immunity idol. She had two get two men, Mike was one of them, I think Davie was the other to help her with the (cough, cough) 150 foot ladder that was actually 8 feet tall, and then one of them (I can't remember who it was, it might have been Davie) pointed to where in the wall the idol was tucked. Plus she lost the clue in the sand and Mike found it. Talk about inept! "Oh yes, and I found the immunity idol using a 150 foot ladder and I almost got killed doing it"-As if! I truly wonder if she actually believes the crap she says or if she says it to manipulate others to better her game. For her sake I hope it game manipulation because if she actually believes it she'll have a lot of therapy ahead of her-if she can even be made to see that she has a problem. Natalie sure couldn't see that she was the problem.
And of course Angelina believing that Nick chose her to sit next to him so that he had a worthy competitor and that she had a very real chance of winning the game. I laughed out loud at that. When she threw out that "woman of color" comment I couldn't believe it. As far as I know when someone says "woman or man of color" that refers to a person of African American descent. She's certainly not. I was sitting there looking at Davie and Carl's faces to see their reactions wondering how they felt about that comment. To me it was like she was trying to play the race card and I detested her for that.
I think Nick made the perfect, obvious choice to choose Angelina to sit next to him. Anyone else would have chosen her too and I thought for sure she wouldn't get any votes and she didn't. I was thrilled when Davie called her out for her "and I sacrificed myself to get rice for the entire tribe". I wonder how many times she brought that up during this season?
I was glad Mike didn't win because of the way he acted during the game although he did have great game play. The other reason was that he is already very well off. DS told me that "School of Rock" is now in production to go on Broadway or is on Broadway so he'll be getting royalties from that too. Nick came from a poor background and instead of getting out of that small town, hitting the city and joining a law firm to make money he became a public defender. Do you know how much public defenders make in a small town? Not very much plus he probably has law school loans to pay. Of course I'm just assuming here and I know we are only supposed to judge on game play but I do think this win (and the money) will help Nick a lot more than it would have Mike.
I'm upset about the idea for next season. I hate when they have some returning players and new players. I much prefer it when it is either all returning players or all new cast, and my favorite is all new cast. But it's Survivor and I haven't missed an episode yet so I'll be watching come spring.
Jeff Probst may be heading into senility if he thinks it'd be great to have Angelina back on Survivor. I love the guy, but what the heck? So often lately he's been coming up with some crazy, unpopular ideas regarding Survivor. I can't think of any others right now but I do remember reading about them. I think it's time to write back on Survivor's facebook page or elsewhere and let them know the fans do not want this if you feel that way. As far as I know Jeff does take that into account, checks with everyone else working for Survivor and then the powers that be make the decisions.
It's been fun as always chatting with you all regarding this season. It wouldn't be the same if we didn't have this community to talk over Survivor so I thank you all.

Happy with the results since Christian couldn’t win. Thrilled Angelina got zero...DH feels she is a sociopath... The amount of comments during the reunion about how she would play the game differently if she was asked back is only rivaled by the amount of times she brought up her rice sacrifice!!! She is a special type of person

I lost interest when Christian was voted off. I turned on the finale but only watched long enough to see everyone all cleaned up. By then I knew Nick won so I turned to watch something else.
Am I hearing right that next season will be a mix of old and new players? I hate when they do that. The best seasons are when it is all new people. And for god sake do not bring back Angelina!

There will be 4 returning players. Also, I read that the extinction island twist allows any eliminated player to possibly go back into the game.
