Happy Thursday Everyone!! My challenge for today's card is OLD!! Use at least TWO items that you have had in your stash, the older the better!! Charms, eyelets, hat pins, even an old stamp that you haven't used in forever!! That's it, easy peasy!! Here's mine! I used baker's twine (why did I stop using this stuff, I forgot how much I like it!), and a Star die cut that I've had in my stash I think since I started making cards! LOL Show me what you got!! Hmmm... I will have to take a dive into the back of my Christmas cupboard for this. Thanks Mel!

okay - I made two similar cards to meet this challenge. My old items are the tag stickers (the last two from the sheet and they've been curing in the stash for well over a decade) and the brads/eyelets

Love your Star card, Mel . I can see some application for the star cutting plate I used the other day, so might need to take it out for another spin. Love the grey blue on your card, Linda . Funny that you chose tags. My card for this challenge has an old tag as well: one that came off a gift at one time and I stuck it into a drawer in my Christmas cupboard b/c I thought I could use it later. The brick pattern is made with TH oxide ink through a TH stencil. Cardtober #4 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Almost everything on this card is old--the K&Co pp, the gift tag, the shaped brad--but the material that I really haven't used for a long time is FELT. I cheated b/c it was already on the tag, but it makes me want to pull out some of my felt supply and see what I can do with it. Thanks for the challenge, Mel !

I probably should've dug into my DD box for this since that's probably the oldest stuff I have. But instead I cheated a bit and used a stamp that's new to me but which I believe is rather old - it's a wood mounted stamp I found at St Vinnie's thrift shop - someone destashed it. And I used my oldest coloring medium - colored pencils I've had for years. So yeah, I feel like I cheated a bit because I didn't really use anything up or dig back into long neglected items. I don't have much old stash, tbh, but I could've tried harder! (If I have time tomorrow I might make a card out of some embellishments I made out of my oldest Xmas stash, but no promises). Anyway, I quite like the card I came up with. I got a bit creative at the end and cut a window out of the card front and put the card panel inside. Does today's challenge need to be made and posted today? I have had a really busy day today and haven't had any crafting time.

Everything about this card is old except for the fact that I made it this morning. I found the Thankful and pinwheel die cuts in my craft closet last night. They are at least 2 years old, possibly 3. The brad is even older. The button and twine are old. The paper scrap on the card is old. Yes, it was just a scrap that was in a bag with the Thankful die cut. Even the card base is old.

Another great card, scrapnnana. That pinwheel is cool, and I like the arrangement of letters for "Thankful". Love seeing old stuff being put to new use! I think I have some of those frames somewhere: will have to dig them out--or at least KEEP them out next time I come across them.

Mel, this is a great challenge, and you posted a wonderful example.
Linda, I love your beach tags.
Grammadee, that is such a cute Christmas card. The stencil brick wall behind is a nice touch. It is all so detailed.
Joblackford, that is a gorgeous window card!

My something old is the Dover ornaments I've redrawn and coloured on this card - I've had the images (hundreds of them) for about 10 years.
I decided to go for Halloween in pastel shades and just mess about in Photoshop with gradients. The font is Nomos Regular.
Mel I love baker's twine, I'd have cones of it if I had room. I really like your card, it's simple yet full of detail and texture.
Linda those tag cards are brilliant! Love all that texture
grammadee you make such great cards. Love the felt stocking and all the texture.
joblackford fantastic colouring on the poinsettia (?) it's so rich
scrapnnana wonderful Autumn colours and love that pinwheel

This card was made from a Basic Grey 6x6 paper pack from 2011. Back when my obsession with 6x6 paper pads started. lol!! The canvas piece the image is stamped on is old too I guess. I got it from Tuesday Morning several years ago.

I did a big purge so I don't have a lot of old stuff, but I do have a few old stamp sets. Today I used Papertrey Inks stamp set Out on a Limb. I've used this set for fall and sympathy cards. Today I used it with the Avery Elle Wonky Stitched Rectangles. Regular rectangles looked to plain. Not sure if I like the wonky's either. Attachments:

Beautiful card, warrior1991 . Looks so elegant. The colours are so soft and just the right amount of definition. I really miss Basic Grey. And stamping on canvas is a wonderful touch! Love that stamp, GiantsFan, and how you coloured the leaves. And I really like the look of those wonky stitched edges.

Finally got this done! This is partially made from one of those super old All Night Media sets where you get the stamps plus an ink pad. Remember those? The snowglobe shape and the santa/reindeer stamps are from Lawn Fawn and the sentiment is from MFT stamps. I watercolored the image with distress inks and used a nuvo shimmer pen on the snow.

This kind of depends on what your definition of old is. The four brads are definitely old. I bought the paper a year and a half ago or so. I have no recollection of which stamp set the Happy Birthday came from or how old it is.

JaneB, I love the colors and the quote on your card.
Warrior1991, your card is beautiful and classic.
GiantsFan, I love the stitched rectangles on your card, and the coloring of the stamped image. Did you color the stamp with markers before stamping?
justjac, I like the paper you used, and I also like how you used a different color of brad in each corner. I have never thought to use different colors. It adds a nice touch.

Most of the stuff I buy is old or from overstock places! Here's some Old SEI pattern paper. The stickers from Carta Bella are probably in the newer category.

GiantsFan, I love the stitched rectangles on your card, and the coloring of the stamped image. Did you color the stamp with markers before stamping? Thanks. The stamp is two parts, the tree trunk and the leaves. So I inked and stamped the trunk. Then for the leaves I inked up with the yellow color then pounced the red color on the edges only, then stamped.

I have been trying to use up older supplies so this challenge was great. The old things on this card are: the pom pom trim The wood bird I used UTEE on the bird to give a glory finish - it has been in my stash forever! The foliage and berry diecuts are left overs from 2 years ago.

re-visiting this for iNSD - a card for our pastor in appreciation of all his hard work while the churches have been closed (and continue to be closed). The top sticker is Sandylion c. 2002 and the bottom one, I'm not sure how old but several years at least.
