I absolutely hate this time of year! Why does every commercial that has anything even remotely to do with Halloween have to have a loud ass doorbell ring?
My dog is getting on my last nerve because every time she hears a doorbell she loses her mind barking and runs to the door.
At home we try to fast forward through commercials, although some platforms don't allow you to do that.
Here at Dad's, he has direct TV without a DVR and he has the TV on most of the day for sound.
As much as I love my dog, her bark is so loud it startles me and gives me a headache.
Really, advertisers, we understand the concept of trick or treating and DON'T need to hear the doorbell in your commercial.
Rant over.

I hate that too, and I don’t even have dogs. One of my cats doesn’t like strangers, and runs in fright whenever the tv doorbell sounds.

We have never had a doorbell that works while having our newest dog who is now 2 1/2 years old and we got her when she was only 5 weeks old. Electrical wiring in my house is crap. Anyway, there was a doorbell sound on TV a few weeks ago and she went bat-youknowwhat CRAZY and ran to the door barking her head off! HOW DID SHE KNOW TO DO THAT??? And why did she go to the door? She heard it on the TV which isn't near the door at all! So ya, if I had a doorbell that worked, it would be disabled.

One of them got me last night! Even though the dogs weren't interested in the door at all, which should have been a giant clue for me, I got up and looked for the door ringer.

I knew EXACTLY what this was going to be about. I'm with you, my dogs are wearing a path in the floor because of all the doorbell noises. It's funny, I never noticed it until this year.

Oh that has to suck. My dog is deaf now but when she (and her mama who has been gone a few years now) barked at doorbells it was only when the ones on the TV sounded like ours. Her mama was a beagle, so that was fun, lol.

That doesn’t phase me... but when I hear an iPhone ring on tv it gets me every time. And then my kids all start yelling at me that the phone is ringing 🙄

This made me laugh.
I have been binge watching "Frasier" and I swear, all they ever did was walk in and out of the apartment, ringing the doorbell every 10 seconds...ask me how I know

I so feel your pain!! Every doorbell, phone, dog barking, squealing child, crying baby or siren in any show or commercial sends my 8 lb maltipoo into barking fits! She also goes completely crazy when she hears the song that goes HEY HO, I belong to you , you belong to me , you're my sweet... heart!! I have idea why. At first it was funny, not so much now

I hate that, too! Plus I hate when ads on the radio uses sirens.

Mine does that too and it drives me insane. And I have two of them so it’s doubly annoying.

I chuckle when someone on television says "Hey Google" and then my Google Home starts answering the question.
In my house, the dog barking sets off the doorbell. It is obnoxious. Thankfully they don't bark much.

We were just talking about this as our little guy jumped on the back of my chair to look and see who was there, barking in my ear to make sure we knew there was someone there.
