I love my nonstick craft mats. I started with the Ranger one that 15x18”. I moved on to one made by Bazzil (I think) that is 18x24”. My true love for many years is my 24x36” pink mat made by Tattered Angels. It covers my desk perfectly. Like with many relationships though, things change. My mat gives a pink cast to any photos I take. It’s harder to match colors with that and I think it sort of effects my YouTube videos. I’m on the search for a white nonstick craft mat that 24x36”. I bought the Ken Oliver but it’s gray and I really don’t like the feel of it. It’s nonslip also and that doesn’t work for me. From what I’ve seen, it looks like those mats are made with a material called PFTE. It’s basically Teflon from what I understand. I found a place that cuts sheets of it. Does anyone know if this would work? I may end up having to call the company but I’m really hoping my fellow peas will know the answer.

They have many mats in the yardage section at Joann's. As for the place that cuts sheets of it, make the call and get the straight answer. Also, in case you didn't know, a lot of mats are not for use with fixed blades. They will say roller blades only. All that means is they are not "self healing". I get maybe 3 or 4 years out of my mats.

That's what I use, I bought a giant sheet from Amazon for $5 and cut ir in half. I haven't had to replace either half yet.

Mine is pretty big (don't have the exact measurement) and I picked it up pretty inexpensive at Amazon.

I tried a Teflon sheet and didn't like it, but it was a cheap $5 so it was worth a try. I now have the Tonic one which is white and as a grippy bottom so it doesn't move on my desk. I do wish it was larger it's only 14x14.

I emailed the company. They probably will think I’m a little crazy. (That’s ok since I am. Lol) I hope to hear back soon. oliquig and amom23, would you happen to have the amazon links to what you bought? I’d like to check them out.

The one I bought isn't currently available on Amazon but it is the Professional Grade Double Sided Rotary Cutting Mat 18x24 from The Shop Company.

I have given up on non stick mats. I am always forgetting to move it when I am going to cut with an exact knife, or forgetting to grab it when I am using messy media. I now use a glass mat that can be wiped clean but can take the knife cuts. It also has a grid for lining things up.
If I really want to get messy, I use wax paper or transparencies, and chuck them when I am done. Oh yeah, and I have the cover sheet from a discarded silhouette cutting mat. I have been using that for backing when I am distressing with oxide inks and applicators.
