Hi everyone! And welcome to Day 12! My challenge for you today is to use a card sketch. Use the one I did or select one of your own. Mine came from Scrapbook and Cards Today WCMD 2015. I picked it because I thought it would make a great Christmas card and then went in a whole different direction! Love your happy birthday card! Those circles almost look like balloons, and the foiled stars are a festive touch. Great colours, too. Great minds think alike--or at least similar! I had just been looking last night at the SCT card sketch featured in their fall magazine, and thinking I would like to try that one. But when I saw this sketch this morning, I wanted to give it a try. Still had the embossing folder from yesterday's card on top of my counter, so I decided to use it, first cutting out one layer of the poinsettia so the red would show through. cardtober #12 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

Took me a bit to realize you had cut the poinsettia from the white card stock - love that red popping through.

Great cards, freeatlast and grammadee!
I usually struggle with sketches when it comes to layouts, but I already have an idea how to use this sketch for a card.

I turned the sketch on its side and swapped circles and stars for flowers and leaves and a random acorn

I think this is the first time I have ever used a sketch. Here is my version:

Linda, I left you love in the other thread. scrapnnana, I LOVE your spooky card! That mummy head and the bat are cute (b/c they both look a little freaked out, just like kids in their Halloween costumes!)
