Where does all the glitter go when I wash off a stencil I have just used for glitter paste?
My poor bathroom sink looks like it has lived its life in a pottery factory. And I was wondering what the pipes below it look like???
Mixed media peas: where and how do you clean your brushes and stencils and spatulas?

Kitchen sink. Or pending what I'm doing I bought a basin from dollar store to have it with water and dish soap in it so stuff can soak.

I can just imagine the sewer workers puzzling over all the sparkly colorful bits in your neighborhood poo! lol. Are you on sewer or septic? It's always good to think about where things go after we wash them away because they do all end up somewhere. Might be a good practice to wipe stuff off with a paper towel that goes into the trash to minimize potential glitter clogs in the pipes!

Are you on sewer or septic? We are on a septic tank pump out system. Bio materials break down with bacteria, and then flows out through filters into the surrounding soil. Once a year, a truck comes and vacuums out all the solids remaining in the tank. Thinking that is where glitter would end up, but no idea what that company does with their load after they leave here!

Think of all the tiny alligators and snakes in the sewer that have had their walls decorated with glitter. It's a win for all.

It's been a big thing in the media here lately. Ultimately glitter ends up in the oceans and can be consumed by fish/other animals. Lots of schools and groups have stopped using it because it never degrades.
Personally I hate the stuff so I don't use it either! 😁

In my house all the glitter goes on the table, floor, my face, the cats’ fur, etc. I love the look of glitter but it’s just too messy. I do use stickles though.

Okay, a triplicate post? I couldn’t do that on purpose if I tried. Again, my apologies.

I don't use it much as a result, but have a few tubes of the WOW glitter
