FUN! Parents got a great bowl filled with a large stout, halloween napkins, great little skeleton bowl, leaf bag and gummies. Kids got some really cute window stickers, lights, etc...... Now I have to return the favor.... good thing we are on fall break. Anyone see some cute stuff that doesn't break the bank?

Dollar Tree had some really cute window clings. I also picked up some fun craft items at JoAnns. I usually make up a candy goodie bag for each person in the house. I also will throw in glow sticks.

I have booed friends & neighbors for about 15 years. It's so fun!
A few ideas .... Fall cake mix w/icing, spatula/wooden spoon, a few candies all in a black or orange oven mitt w/the Boo sign/message ....A pumpkin, carving kit, a few candies, the Boo sign/message ....many times I shop Bath & Body Works semi-annual sales for Halloween related items (candles, wallflower plug ins, etc) then add a Halloween soap when they're on sale, plus treats and the Boo sign/message ....A bag of apples, caramel sauce, cider, Halloween plates & napkins, Boo sign/message

Fun! I know on Halloween our neighborhood does it up for the adults as well as the children. A lot of us sit outside and socialize when passing out candy. Some houses have a cooler of adult beverages available, some trick or treating parents pull along a cooler with drinks to share. We don't drink so our highlight is not the sharing of alcohol, but the flame throwing group they always have perform down the street.

Can someone explain what this is? I've never heard of it.

You ding dong ditch someone and when they open the door they get a little present like the OP said -- but you have to pay it forward!

@alliec it's a fun Halloween thing. Someone starts it by making up two goodie bags with things like you are seeing in this thread. Also in the bag is a little poem about being BOOED and asks you to make up two bags to BOO two other neighbors, as well as a little paper ghost that you hang on your front door so everyone knows you've been BOOED. To deliver the bags you go after dark, and ding dong ditch leaving the bag and hopefully not being seen. The idea is to have every door in your neighborhood with a ghost on it.

We got pumpkin spice truffles, a blow up spider game for kids, carving kit, crafty stuff for the kids, etc. We boo'd it forward with candy, bath bombs (from Dollar tree), glow in the dark nail polish, nail decals, halloween scarf, rainbow lip gloss. You can tell my daughter put it together with the two neighbor girls in mind.

Thanks for the explanation. Given that Halloween has only become popular in Australia (and nothing like in the USA) I've never heard of it. Had to laugh at the "ding dong ditch" as part of the explanation because that isn't a term we use here at all either LOL. I guessed what it meant though

My MOMS Club is doing this. But it is more like secret santa where we are assigned 2 people/families to boo some time this month. In May we do something similar but just for the moms.
