Clearly, I'm a Pea Failure, I don't own a mattress pad. I wash the sheets every Monday, the duvet cover and blankets every other week.

Sheets weekly. New laundered linen duvet cover and down duvet monthly. We’ve started using a memory foam pad that comes with its own cover over the mattress. I would like for it to be washed more frequently but it’s difficult without having a second one to rotate. Shooting for quarterly.

Sheets weekly and mattress pads once a month. We both like to 'shower off the day' before going to bed so I think once a week is generally sufficient. When my boys were in those puberty stages and sweaty with body funk and sports efforts, I usually did theirs twice a week.

I only wash the mattress pad when DH "helps" me. If I say, "I'm going to wash the sheets," he strips every last thing off the bed and stuffs it all in the laundry cart - mattress pad, comforter, blankets, AND sheets. Lordy that sounds like my husband.... And my oldest. I say sheets only. I end up with everything. While the other just gives me the fitted sheet.

I don't have a pad. We've been talking about getting a topper to add some firmness which would lead to a pad to keep it in place.
Sheets get washed weekly except when someone's sick or during the summer and things are extra sticky and gross. Other blankets, every other week.

Sheets about every other week during the winter and weekly during the summer when I always seem to sweat more a night. Mattress cover when I think about it. I frequently change the pillowcases for a fresh pair midweek. DS worries me. He apparently never notices that his sheets need to be changed—as in he’s been back at school for 8 weeks and just mentioned that maybe it was time to wash his FOR THE FIRST TIME.

Sheets once a week, although I'd love them fresh daily, they feel so nice when they're fresh.
A clean towel every day.

Sheets every other week.
Mattress pad a few times a year, maybe once per season.
Duvet/comforter- never- it'll fall apart it's so old. LOL. I need/want to make a new one.
I, like many others, would have fresh sheets daily if I was wealthy and could have someone do it for me.

My grandmother used to send her sheets out to be laundered. I remember the truck picking them up and dropping them off. I LOVED to sleep at her house. The sheets were super crisp and smelled amazing.

Sheets and pillow cover-once a week. Silk pillow cover-once every two-three weeks. Mattress pad-once every 3 months or more. I have a silk pillow cover over my pillow because it's supposed to be better for curly hair-it reduces the frizz because it's a much softer material. It does work for me. I got it on Amazon for around $20.00. What way do you wash the silk one?

Once a week but I’m thinking of doing it twice a week. I wash my mattress pad about every two months. I do have a 3” foam topper so my pad is actually protecting that and not the mattress, lol. I think I’m going to start putting a reminder in my phone so I remember.

It depends. TMI to follow. When I have my crime scene periods we can change sheets and mattress pad as frequently as every day for weeks on end. Minimum, for several years we would have to change more than once a week for several months at a time. I have had an endometrial ablation and only had that issue a few times since May so that's been really nice. I don't know who is more excited, me or DH. I have back issues so he has to help. Can't wait to be able to buy a couple of sets of high quality linens and throw all of our current stained ones away!!!
Otherwise, sheets a minimum of once a week and/or when other activities call for it. My pillowcase more frequently, DH doesn't care. Mattress pad every month or so.

I wash sheets and pillow cases once a week and the mattress pad once a month. That is what I do, too. I will wash the sheets more frequently, if necessary. DH is on a blood thinner, so he's a bleeder. Any little scratch and he'll bleed on the sheets. I'll wash them if that happens.

One of my new college grads (guy) was shocked when we discussed this and I said weekly. He said every 6 months . I advised that was NOT enough, LOL.

Liquid Biz is the best stain treatment I have found for blood stains. DH is a bleeder, due to medications. I can only find the liquid version at the supermarket.

Thank you so much, I added it to my Amazon cart! DH is as well, for the same reason, so our pillowcases are usually stained too. I appreciate you thinking of me and can't wait to try it!

I got it on Amazon for around $20.00. What way do you wash the silk one? I wash it in cold water, gentle cycle with Woolite. Then I hang it to dry. Sadly the quality of the fabric isn't that great so when it dries it comes out stiff. I know I'm not supposed to do this but I toss it in the dryer for a minute or two on low and it comes out very soft. And yes, it does shrink a bit every time. But it is much better than the really stiff fabric. I think next time I'm going to try ironing it on low. I'm a person who is very picky on how fabric feels against my skin. I can't stand the quality of Ikea bedding because of how it feels against my skin. I'm like the princess and the pea

My DH has been sweating a lot at night (probably should start a different thread about that!) and it has a strange smell. So I have been changing the sheets every other day. I usually do wash the mattress pad as well but if I don't have time to wash and dry the whole set of bedding that day I spray it with a homemade fabric refresher spray and then just put new sheets on and wash the mattress cover on the weekend.
