Also, how many people are clicking on videos that are 45 minutes and longer? I do quite often. I have a Roku TV in my craft room and love turning on long videos when I'm crafting. By doing that, I don't have to interrupt my own crafting as often to navigate to another video.

Also, how many people are clicking on videos that are 45 minutes and longer? I do! I have the videos playing in the background when I scrap or or even sometimes when I'm in the kitchen cooking dinner. I add a bunch of videos to my "watch later" playlist and then watch them all when I'm ready. I like the fast/voice-over process videos, layout shares, album flip throughs, and even the real-time longer videos. I watch them all! Keep it up ladies. We appreciate you!

The longer the better for me. I like to put them on while I'm scrapping or doing the dishes or something.

I prefer longer videos as well. Shimelle's Friday Live vids are great because they are usually an hour. I put them on while I scrap! Great inspiration.

I enjoy really long videos... my biggest rant is a 13 minute video with 4!!! YES 4 ADS!!!! Seriously??? There are some 45 plus videos that have zero ads... short video lots of ads means I will not subscribe to you and will not watch another...

I don't mind longer videos. I just don't want them to be full of chatter. Show me a technique or some actual scrapping and I'll watch. If not I'll skip ahead or find another video.
I think we need another round of Who Are You Watching on YouTube.

I am in awe of the effort put into the videos...I really don't have any peeves because if that video doesn't resonate that day, it is usually me so I like it and move on... I completely appreciate the inspiration at any level!!

I am super grateful to all the you-tubers that put out videos. I know it's a lot of work and the majority are not doing it for compensation. I can overlook most quirks and very little bothers me in this regard.
However...I had a video last night (fashion video, not crafty), that would go from talking to music throughout the 15-16 minute video. Every time the music came on, it about blasted me off the couch (I was wearing earbuds) yet the speaking portion was so low I had to turn up to be able to hear what she was saying. I will give her one more try as this was my first time watching one of her videos.
There is one crafty you-tuber that her intro starts out with super-loud music, but at least I'm prepared for it and know it's coming to compensate for it.

I do like longer videos as long as they're interesting and not rambling / repeating themselves. (I don't even mind some rambling, as long as it's about crafting.)

I don't make it negative though. I will ask them if they knew they were having technical difficulty. A couple of times I have left a comment the YT was really grateful.
This is not a peeve. Most of my peeve's are not peeve's. I get a kick out of them. If you are not professional I love your quirks. Trust me my quirks would be so off the wall.
This kind of peeve is for only professional YouTuber's. The ones that have a channel intro at the beginning of their videos. You know the ones with the name of their channel and whatnot. I watched one YT the other night her channel intro was so long she could have put the cast & crew listing of Game of Thrones, Orange is the New Black, Modern Family & Stranger Things she still would have had time to add more shows. It was over seven minutes long!!!! It was my first video of hers so now I know skip through the intro, lol.

Quirks are definitely a different story than peeves. Not annoying. Just amusing. I love Nicole Jones and her quirks. I should say her accent and pronunciation. She cracks me up when she says adhesive and the word little but pronounced lil every few seconds. I enjoy her long videos. She's one of my favorites. When Susanna Lee pronounces Shimelle Shimeel I kind of do a head tilt. Someone please tell me it's like Michelle but the M and Sh are switched around because when I hear Susanna say Shimeel it reminds me of Laverne and Shirley singing Schlemiel Schlimazel!

Agree with too much talk too little action, music instead of info and I hate when they demo with black paper. I can't see what you are doing.

I’m watching Junk Journal videos lately. I enjoy “craft with me”-type videos. They tend to be about an hour. The ones I enjoy are technique and explanation heavy tied in with personal tidbits. For me, their voice, style of work and manner of delivery are what attracts or repels me.

I don't mind short nails in a video as long as they are clean and neat. Also, don't go noisily through crinkly shopping bags while you are showing what you purchased. Please have it set out and readily available. Yep! My #1 pet peeve. Remove your haul from the shopping bags, and even from the packaging. Crinkly sounds grind on my last nerve and will get the video turned off. Also, tv on in the background...

I like when YT mispronounce things. "I love my CrocADile, I love my CryCut" I watch one YT and she always pronounces sequins "CeeQueeInnnnns" My ultimate favorite is "Jim Hotlz or Tim Holz." I watch one YT and she calls foam tape "dimensions". A sweet lady I watched one time her Chihuahua photo bombed during her video. She apologized for her Chinchilla, ROFL! I am not being a mean girl about mispronounce. I say things wrong all the time too. I really do like it because I think it is cute & real. mrssch I am addicted to long junk journal videos too. I love the personal tidbits. I feel like it's part of their process. I learn so much from that. Do you watch DianeH? I don't think she makes long videos. I love her style of journals. I do like personal tidbits. I do want to know my favorite YouTuber's. I don't need to know their biography. It is nice to know things about them. This is not YouTube but I love River Monsters show. The host Jeremy Wade I love hearing his history about his fishing journeys. If I just watched him travel up and down the Amazon and didn't know a thing about him I would think he lost his mind, lol. I really don't like it when professional YouTuber's make video's giving me their whole biopic. I have no interest and it is a peeve. Non-professional I understand a lot better. I feel those are vlogs. Professional I am thinking "Wow, you think you are so important to so and so company we need to worship you." It really comes off that way. Professional YouTuber on a separate personal vlog channel I get. Don't do it when you are representing a company because it reflects on the company. I have a funny one. I was watching a junk journal embellishment video last night. She had a lot of her clothing tags she was using. She said in the video "I need to turn these around so you don't see how much I paid for my clothes." She decided this was a good idea twenty minutes into the video where we could see the pile of tags on her desk with the prices, ROFL! I don't think she realized we could see them. I laughed so hard. I thought that is something I would do.

I like long videos. I like to play them on the laptop on my desk and work alongside, and I don't want to have to keep stopping to find a new one every 5 minutes.
The sound is a knotty problem. I also don't want to have to keep adjusting the volume. On my own videos I crank up the audio to around 180%, which I then check playing at a volume of 25. That way music isn't louder; I don't have ads but I'd hope that would be the same, no sudden jump in volume.
I watch videos when I'm eating; it stops me eating too fast which can cause me problems. I also watch just when I need to stop using my hands for a while and have a rest.
The Silhouette Studio videos I do are long, typically an hour. I do explain in excruciating detail how to achieve what I am making. For me, if I am saying Do This and then you'll get this, I feel I have an obligation to prove that's exactly what happens. There's nothing worse than following a process but somewhere it all goes wrong! Thus, if I can physically manage it there will be an actual print and cut card from what I've shown on my screen. I do sometimes skip that because I have enough videos now that show my track record - what you see is what you get.
The talking, oh it's so hard sometimes. I try not to repeat myself or keep saying the same word, but it's not easy. I'm telling you one thing, doing the process and also planning in my head the next bit and it can be awkward. Occasionally I have tried writing a crib sheet, but that makes the whole process longer - an hour or so writing, another hour or so recording (longer if there are interruptions) and then editing and uploading. It can easily take a whole day to make a video.
I have never given a thumbs down. If I don't like something I move on. I do give thumbs up when I have enjoyed a video. If there is a technical issue, out of focus or sound etc. then I may leave a comment or even try to contact the person privately.

On the mispronunciation note - I really don't like it when sequins are pronounced SEQUENCE. No, no, no!!! IT's pronounced sequinz!!

If you're sick, please wait until you're well to film your video or do the voiceover. I really don't want to hear you sniffling, coughing, and clearing your throat throughout the video. Saying "Excuse me" every other sentence gets annoying too. And, for the love of all that is holy, please silence your phone when recording. I was watching a "professional" video today, and toward the end, her phone was blowing up with notifications. Really?

If you were not aware, you can change the speed at which the video plays. I do this frequently because I don’t want to listen to the small talk and just want to see the product being created. It’s in the top right corner of the screen and gives you a few options for playback speed!
