My social swing dance group is having a party on Halloween. I bought this dress a while back in the pink and I think it would be perfect for the costume party. However, it is too snug across the bust so I am going to have to order it in a large. Hopefully it won't be too big everywhere else, but if it is I will have it altered I guess. So they don't have pink in the large. I am thinking of getting one of the polka dotted ones, but which one?
Also what kind of shoes should I wear? I usually wear black flats to dance in. Would those look good? I could get something else, but the heels shouldn't be too tall, because I am not used to dancing in heels! Also, should I wear any jewelry? A scarf? Help!

I think the polka dot one is adorable. It's cute on its own for just a dress (as in, you could wear it for a regular day, not Halloween), but I immediately pictured adding red flats and a big red bow and Minnie Mouse ears for a costume.

I like the black with white polka dots, the other way seems very summery to me.
I would wear your normal dancing shoes. As for jewelry, I would go look for some rockabilly girls for ideas.

I don't like the pink one anyway and in one of the picture comments someone is wearing the pink in large and said she didn't like it. I hope you get the dress in time, not sure if these clothing vendors on amazon come from China?

I like the polka dots. A neck scarf in red would be nice. Use your regular dancing shoes.

It will come in time. I have ordered lots of clothes on Amazon and they have always come quickly.
I do like the pink one, it's my favorite color. However it does look kind of plain. I will get the black one with white polka dots.
The Minnie Mouse idea is cute, but not my thing!
I will check out the Rockabilly girls...great idea!
I need to figure out how to do my hair. I have a bob just past chin length.
I even bought the crinoline to go under my skirt!
Thanks!

For your hair, you might want to try using a handkerchief to make a headband. I'm picturing something kinda like Rosie the riveter. That seems rockabilly to me.
