I slip the open package in a bag from a loaf of bread. Twist it once or twice and tuck the tail under the package when I set it back in the cupboard. Those bags fit well and keep them fresh. This works for me and the bags are free.

Depends on the packaging (and who opened them).

Cookie Keeper I bought this for our Oreos. SO has a bad habit of ripping open the packaging and letting the other half sit unprotected to get stale and tossed.

I tend to put the entire package inside of a larger rubbermaid storage container. Except for the Aldi samoa type cookies. That is 1 serving for DH. What? What? What are Aldi Samoa type cookies? Never heard of them but I will be looking for them now. I love a lot of things from Aldi. They are a very good copycat. I put mine in the freezer. I love them frozen and I don't like to share so I hide them behind things the kids don't want.

I have a cookie jar my mother had in the kitchen when I was little. I will sometimes use that but with 3 boys and a DH who loves cookies they rarely go from the package to the jar if I buy cookies.
I usually bake when I have time and those go into the cookie jar. At least with homemade ones we might have cookies for 2 or 3 days.

Speaking of Oreos, has anyone tried Aldi's fake Oreos? They taste just like real Oreos to me but are only about a dollar and a half a package. ETA: They have double stuff too. Yes, and the "twist 'n shout" from WalMart, too. Actually may be a little crispier. Yum! I've been buying them forever and they always have gone in a Hermetic jar like this>>> DDs friend since kindergarten is among a group of kids that always headed straight for that jar. (still does, just see less often) She is getting married next year and is getting a a similar jar full of those cookies with a card/gift card tucked inside. I've never heard of twist 'n shout from Walmart. Will look for them. That is such a neat idea for the wedding gift. She will love that.
