Mel your examples are beautiful! I love them all. The sentiment about thanksgiving really made me think, your blue and white with the snowflake is gorgeous and so is the Christmas card. Thanks for all your challenges and examples, it's been a pleasure to share your work

Thanks, Mel for the challenge and the examples. I love the look af any kind of embossing on a card, but yours are GORGEOUS! Love the rich colours and how you used both dry and heat embossing.

Yay! I was hoping one of the challenges would be embossing. You just made my day.
Your cards are all very lovely, Mel! I can't decide which is my favorite, because they are all gorgeous!

Not long ago, RestlessSpirit sent me this beautiful embossing folder as a RAK when she learned I was trying to find it (THANK YOU!!!). It was the obvious choice for me to use for this challenge. The lilac branch was made using stamps from the Heartfelt Creations Lush Lilac collection. I used purple Stickles on the embossed dots.

scrapnnana, this is a beautiful card and I think you hit the jackpot on points for this one. I can see CARDtober, mixed media, bling, and Make an Impression (including the bonus for BOTH stamping and embossing!

Thanks, grammadee, and not only for the kind praise. I might have missed one or two challenge points.

I only have a couple of embossing folders but I had some sample pieces that I'd run through so I'd remember to use them, so I used the samples to make a couple of cards. One is still in progress (3D floral in black with skelly-bunny - an idea I think will be really cool, but which isn't quite working yet). This one is another black sample that I thought had a cool look. I added an die cut sentiment experimentally colored with silver Sharpie and coated in some glossy accents. Not bad. Cardtober challenge day 25: embossed floral hello by jo.blackford, on Flickr I also had an embellished tag left on my desk from the tag card challenge which needed something more in the background than plain cardstock. Cue, embossing folder! The lighting is awful, sorry, that background is a much nicer red than it looks, but anyway I think it turned out pretty fun. I like to make a few Christmas themed thank you cards to send around/after the holidays. Embossing is not on my radar most of the time, but it should be. Thanks for the challenge! I heat embossed on this card- I really need to do dry embossing some time. Thank you for the challenge!

What excellent cards you all made! I did this when I was tired and it's very plain and uninspired really, although I do quite like it.

I like it, too, JaneB, and even though you were tired, you did a great job as usual.

Six cards today. I did a layered embossing technique I had seen justjac do awhile ago. Was inspired by some Christmas sweater cards I had been seeing on Pinterest. warm wishes by Gramma Dee, on Flickr
