I am on vacation starting tomorrow until Wednesday. I have scrappy plans!!!
I have my art journal class on Sunday. Need to finish my ATC swap for that. I have an idea for this months "collage" themed I will complete that tomorrow. I might start on December's too pending the mojo..it is Christmas themed.
I have been working on cleaning up my scrappy room this week. Made great progress. Will work more on it tonite. My retreat stuff is still kinda hanging out in my living room from 2 weeks ago. But in my defence I am putting stuff away properly. DH doesn't really care so its not so bad. The pile is getting smaller though.
I just ordered my flameless tea lights from amazon. They will arrive on Saturday so DH and I can make our TH christmas village. I bought the dies back in January and we plan to make a village to display...I have been collecting items for that so next weekend I think we will start that. We will be putting our tree up 3rd weekend in November.
I just discovered Nuvo Jewel tone drops...I haven't been able to get my hands on them in person..actually I had an opportunity at the crop but didn't know about the jewel tone ones...Or I would have bought them...so unless I want to pay for shipping I am SOL..I will ask at my LSS this weekend if they plan to bring those in. They have all the other ones so I don't see why they wouldn't.
So while on vacation I would like to get my Two Peas Christmas cards together. My own personal cards together and at least plan out my special Christmas cards I make for scrappy friends only. There is about 6..But I go all out with those. Oh and get the cards for my dads retirement home complete..There are 30 there. I have a chunk of cards made already so I just have to assign them to categories.
I really need this time off. The only thing is DH works 3-11pm so he will be in my way for part of it. I do have plans for lunch with someone on Tuesday and training at the GYM so I will lose Tuesday.
I want to start doing more creating for me..not cards for others creating..now I do enjoy creating cards but lately all I feel like is my creative time is for others...so my plan is to pick a night during the week for creative time. Like I said DH works 3-11pm so I don't see him during the week. So if I plan like Wednesdays for creative time I think it will be good for me. Even if it just an hour.
That is all I got. I have a couple orders at the LSS just 2 stencils and 3 oxide inks. I am trying to enforce a spending freeze on myself. Other than the Nuvo Jewel drops..

Thanks for setting this thread up again, scrappington. Hope you have a lovely scrappy week! I am heading into town today to pick up our family portraits from UPS and take them to the framer. While I am there I intend to print the last of the Disney photos. I have had a lot of trouble printing pics from my phone lately at Walmart, but the local photo shop—also the framer— has been able to print them just fine so far. So here’s hoping... My tools and supplies from the October crop are put away. Still have my rolly tote to unpack. I am home until next Wednesday, then off to do some more grand parenting. Before I go, I want to FINISH my Florida vacation album!!! I have everything else. Have a list of the photos I need to print today. Wish me luck!

Today I need to order my October photos. I uploaded them all last night, I just need to place an order.
My mojo isn't really here, so I've just been puttering instead of scrapping.

I joined the challenges board this month, so far I'm looking at the list and doing a lot of "yep, I can do that one". I spent yesterday prepping by organizing my desk and spent last night not sleeping because my back hurts (we are getting a new mattress next week, I hope that the old one is the problem) so we'll see how it goes...

The two of my DDs that are home with me let me take a bunch of Halloween photos of them yesterday, and one will be sending me even more from her phone. I'm looking forward to going through them all tonight.

My randomness for the moment: Yesterday I found 13 layouts that need journaling and I don't like when I get that far behind. That's when layouts start to get misplaced. I went to M's to pick up some 8.5x11 cardstock so I can print my journaling. I haven't printed it yet but it's typed and on the agenda for the day. I have those 13 layouts plus more that haven't gone into an album. I'm waiting for M's to have a $5 hot buy album sale. I'm tired of spending more than necessary for albums. I just need the layouts to go into an album and onto a shelf instead of stacked in a closet. I've been picking up a few things at Tuesday Morning lately and I also got a 6x6 pad from Target and came home and used it immediately. While not exactly on a spending freeze, I've been limiting my scrappy shopping because I wasn't scrapping for quite a while. But lately I've been on a roll and feel good about getting some new supplies. I'm having fun scrapping again! scrappington, would you mind linking your flameless tealights? I go through a ton of Ikea tealights so flameless sounds like a great idea. grammadee, how was your crop? Productive?

Thanks for asking. The crop was great. It is set up so each person gets a huge table, and we are seated with friends. Also, it is pretty low key, so other than meals arriving and prizes being given out, there is very little interruption to the creative flow. One of our friends took all the classes this time, but although I often take one or two, I just kept focussed on my album. I finished 25 pages at the crop, which is about average for me for a Friday evening to Sunday afternoon crop. I love that justjac invites a couple of us out of towners to stay at her home, which is a few short blocks from the venue.

This disappointed me cause sometimes I want those jewel tones on black! I don't know how they look on coloured card cause I very rarely use it but I would give it a try on anything other than white cause I think they will change colour quite easily, which might look awesome sometimes too! Enjoy your new purchases

I’m completely reorganizing my craft room. It’s gotten out of control. I moved everything out and I’m thoughtfully putting everything back in or purging one at a time. I’m making sure I leave one cube in my Kallax for my DD. I hope to be finished tonight so I can scrap this weekend. I am strictly Project Life but I want to branch out into traditional layouts. I got a copy of the latest From Sketch to Finish from Elle’s Studio, and I’m going to try a couple of them.

My fall crafty weekend is next week and I have done nothing to prepare for it. Well, other than putting some adhesive refills in my tote. I usually take about 18 card kits with me so I can spend the time talking and laughing and gluing cards together. I have nothing, NOTHING, ready. Can you send some motivation my way?

But good to know about the black.

Remove it all and put it back and yes touch each item so you can decide to keep or purge.

I love having grammadee and another friend stay with me. It’s the grown up slumber party. When we’re done scrapping we have our drink of choice (wine, tea, NeoCitrin) and chat. Then everyone heads to their own beds. stinkerbelle I’m in a similar situation. My scrap room is a disaster, and I have to clean before I can make anything. I also need to put all my layouts from October into an album.

I have one more load of paper finish the new scrap closet downstairs. It has emptied out a lot of room from my scrap closet upstairs. So of course I had to order the warehouse box from Fancy Pants to help fill it back up.

My scrappy randomness and a vent:
took a huge family vacation in 2017 - Alaska, Canada, LA & Hawaii - cannot find any photos anywhere of Venice/Muscle Beach, Hawaii, half of Disney....checked all my camera cards, nothing. DD's phone broke, and we can't turn it on - her photos, cant get to. I am GUTTED - had caught up on the last lot of printed photos, had put together some travel collections, cruise kit, Island Escape collection - went to check the photos to print - cant find them.
I am thinking of taking my cards and camera to a 'real camera shop' and asking for help/ideas. Again, I am gutted.
Other than that, went to a scrap expo today with a friend, and spent lots of money on new page kits, new goodies, stamps, embellies - can't wait to play!

Oh damn jameynz! I would definitely try the proper camera shop and see if they can do anything. If the worst comes to the worst, find some photos online so you can at least scrap those and say your own photos were lost in the journalling? Good luck in getting the pics back!

jameynz, can you plug your dd’s phone into your computer? Maybe you can download the photos that way? Or take it with you to the camera shop. They may be able to retrieve them.

I had a zoo trip and the last photos of my dog and I was devastated I couldn't get the photos. I tried at work and at home nadda. A couple years later came across the card tried it to see what was on it and they were there. I was so happy. So hopefully the camera store will be able to heloy

I'm getting caught up on my PL this weekend - I'm one month behind, but I only do 2 spreads per month, so it's okay.
Then I'm going to make some prototype Christmas cards. I let my husband and son choose from my prototypes for the card we'll send this year. It's fun.
Then I'm going to start cutting the felt for my final two 12 Days of Christmas ornaments (the mmmcrafts ones) - I really excited about that!
I love reading these monthly scrappy random thoughts threads even if I don't always participate.

I really wish I knew how to post pics on here. I'm really happy with how they turned out
I bought a Christmas 6*6 pad, couple small stamps (Christmas related) and all 8 Nuvo n

jameynz I hope you can retrieve your photos. I would be beside myself, too. If not, please remember you had the fun family trip, even without the photos. I would then find stock photos or even ask the Peas for photos of the locations you are missing. They won't include family, but you can capture your great memories.

I had a great time on my 3 day retreat. I did have to drive the 75 minutes home on Saturday. I had a crown come off at lunch! Thank goodness I have a fabulous dentist who told me to come right in. I literally walked in the door, her assistant was watching for me and brought me back, they repaired it and I was back on the road. The only good part is, while I had 6 extra rolls of Tombow adhesive, I did not have my dispenser at the retreat! I had to drive within a couple of blocks of home to go to the dentist, so I stopped at home after, gave DH a smooch, and grabbed my dispenser.
