Everything! Seriously, the only thing I'm looking for is a large paper cutter to replace the Cutterpede I killed earlier this year.

I want my scrapbooking room! When we bought our home two years ago I was to have a room but then my dd and dgd had to leave a bad situation and they moved in with us. They’re supposed to move out next July but I don’t see how my dd will be able to afford to move. I really want my space!! I am looking for a typewriter as well but it’s foolish to get one until I have room for it.

We spent our whole annual budget on our Florida vacation and the family photos, which I hope to have framed and hanging on my wall before Christmas.
Eventually, I want a 12" laser colour printer/scanner, so I can copy my scrapbook and calendar pages on my own without having to haul everything to the photo shop. That printer would also let me print designs that could be foiled directly onto the page with my Minc.

I told my three kiddos to get me a photo printer. I got the idea from the recent thread! Thanks Peas. We are putting a new dock/deck on our lakehouse, so I told dh I wanted nothing from him.

I want my husband to pick out a gift for me. It doesn’t even have to be something I like. Just the effort would be nice. He bought me something for our first Christmas and our first anniversary and that’s it. I always buy myself stuff but it’s getting old buying for myself and wrapping my gifts. It’s just not fun.

And I know how incredibly whiny and selfish that sounds. It’s just not fair that he gets out of any kind of effort.
We have to reside and reroof our house. I should be grateful that we can do that. And I am. I’m just salty today.

We've kind of had an expensive year (new heat pump, new-used car, $1000 spent to cut down a tree...) and I just had a birthday, and we just bought a new mattress (our old one is giving me back issues) and our washing machine is broken... I don't really want much except nothing to break in 2019!

Nothing. Just some time off and little trips here and there in the coming year to make new memories.
I can pay for my own stuff, I can't pay for time spent together and adventures shared.

That's a thing? I had no clue (then again, human ancestral DNA kits are prohibited in my country). Is there a particular reason/purpose for these canine DNA kits?

I thought of something the other day and thought oh that be easy for him. And now don't remember what it was.
I always write out a huge list so I'm surprised at what I get. I am challenging to buy for. I buy what I want thru out the year.
Ugh it was a scrappy present too.

I don't really want much except nothing to break in 2019! That’s us too. We’ve owned this house for 5 years, lived in it 4, (long story) and so far we’ve had to redig the entire water line and put in all new lines, roof, siding, hot water heater TWICE, all that’s left is the furnace. Ugh. By the time it’s all said and dead we could have just custom build the house we really wanted. Oh well. Plus one of our rentals burnt down this summer and last year a different rental had burst water pipes and the entire thing had to be gutted to the studs.

I always write out a huge list so I'm surprised at what I get. I am challenging to buy for. I buy what I want thru out the year. I tried that with my SIL - she's the big gifter in our family (hubby and I don't bother unless we see something special). But my SIL buys *everything* on the list!! The first year I listed a range of things from little stocking stuffer items, some mid-price stuff, and one thing I thought was expensive so she could choose to get a bunch of little things or one big thing. Nope, she just got everything. She's better off than we are, but we're doing fine - I can buy anything I really want/need. I just came from a different gift giving culture. I spend on everyone less than she spends on one person. It makes me really uncomfortable. But it's her joy and even if we try to do experience gifts or donations she still buys a bunch of other stuff too. Anyway, I want lots of things, but TBH I'd rather just buy them myself. I'm not a fan of telling people what to buy at this point. I think I'd prefer them to get me something small that they think I would like, even if it's way off base. I'm very fickle and picky.

My husband has this thing where he asks what I want (because he knows he’s supposed to ask) ans I give him a simple list and where to buy it and then doesn’t buy any of it and I buy him gifts and then on Christmas he sulks and feels sorry for himself because he didn’t get me anything. Every single gift exchange holiday. It’s getting old. This year I’m telling him not to bother asking if he’s not going to follow through and pick something out. It’s childish and makes me feel like a pile of shit for getting him really thoughtful gifts.

There IS a type that screens for genetic diseases and health conditions, but it's the more expensive version. Really, I just want to know what my dog is made of. People regularly tell me how cute he is and want to know his mix. I have a guess that I use to answer people as if it's the definitive truth, but I don't really know. It's so first world, I know, which is why I've never bought one. However, he's twelve years old now and I'm feeling motivated.

I'm asking for a photo printer and a few crafty supplies. Pretty sure DH will get the printer and then I'll grab the other things I'm eyeing as I find them on sale here and there. Crafting has become my stress release again lately and since its something everyone in the family enjoys the results of, I don't mind investing in the tools I want.

He was cheap and would buy practical gifts or shit we needed for the house. Nothing ever thoughtful and yet I'd get these incredible gifts for him. Current husband is polar opposite.

I want a nice photo of my 3 DD's all together. Now that they're getting older, those photos are hard to come by. I'm hoping they can get their father to snap a bunch of photos when they're all here for Thanksgiving.

Another reason is knowing a dogs breed can also help in training and trait/behavior identification Different breeds have different general personalities. My Samoyed has a much different personality and learning style then our German Shepherd Dog! And it’s just fun knowing more about your pet
