Update: all of my voters in the house voted. I also did some reasearch. 1344 registered voters and my husband was number 800. 3 more hours until the polls close. Super excited for my piddly little town who typically has 200 people show up to vote.

Caught the news and heard that in Cleveland areas, voters have increased from 40% to 50-55%. A great increase for mid terms, but extremely sad that if all the eligible voters, still only about half are voting.

For the first time since the age of 18, I did note vote today. 😢
I ended up in the hospital with severe dehydration from a virus our kids have been passing around and needed an IV of fluids. I was there for several hours and all I could do was sleep when I got home. My mom had the day off and stayed with me. I’m so glad.
All my family voted like always though. Super bummed about my day today. 2018 has been a long, long year for me 😢

I don't know if you still can since you left the hospital, but another pea just posted a link in the other voting thread. I think it was patientvoting.com. Might be something to look into. Eta: our polls are open til 7 if you can get in later.

I voted today! I love voting in person and I'm lucky that my polling center is only a couple of miles from my house and across the street from my boys' school so I went after pick up.

I waited for DH to come home from work and DS to drive up from Chicago and we all went over and stood in line for 15 minutes to vote. First time for DS age 29. He has been very apathetic towards politics until recently.

DH and I always walk into town and vote together. So, I guess you could call it a voting date night?

I turned in me and my husband's ballots yesterday at the city offices. Sadly, the mayor of a town in Utah was killed while deployed with the National Guard. This was his last Facebook post and it truly puts things into perspective. “The strong turnout, despite the attacks and challenges, was a success for the long-suffering people of Afghanistan and for the cause of human freedom,” Taylor wrote. “I am proud of the brave Afghan and US soldiers I serve with. Many American, NATO allies, and Afghan troops have died to make moments like this possible; for example, my dear friend Lieutenant Kefayatullah who was killed fighting the Taliban the day before voting began.” Amid the political vitriol occurring 7,000 miles away back in the U.S. as the country becomes increasingly polarized before the midterm elections, Taylor concluded his Facebook post with a message to all of his fellow Americans. “As the USA gets ready to vote in our own election next week, I hope everyone back home exercises their precious right to vote. And that whether the Republicans or the Democrats win, that we all remember that we have far more as Americans that unites us than divides us. “United we stand, divided we fall.” God Bless America.”

I voted! Hubby voted right when the polls opened. I voted after work but took an unintended detour on my way to the polling place. Had to stop and get a tire fixed first.

DH and I voted yesterday, it didn't change a damn thing in my "so red it's bloody" state, but we did our part. DH went at 7, I went after work at 4, neither of us had to stand in line, but it was difficult to find parking. I'd like to see some numbers on voter turnout...

We ran out of stickers at our polling place around 5 pm. We did get more an hour later. But there were some disappointed people for sure!
