I usually do not. There were not any independents on my ballot this year though...so unless there were two of the same party running against each other I chose one side over the other.

I voted 99% one party, but our governor is the other party and I voted for him. He's been good for the state.

There were two local offices that I crossed party lines for. Both were because I knew the candidate personally, and they were incumbent and have performed the job well.
There were two candidates from across party line that were running unopposed. So they got my vote.

I did. And it was because it was the absolute RIGHT thing to do. The republicans running here SUCK. The lie. The people who fell for the new governor's lie campaign are going to be devastated once he is in office. He votes against ALL pre-existing, against Medicare/Aid, and sucks trumps dick.

I am an independent and have never voted straight ticket...until this election. Republicans need to get their shit together before I will even consider voting for one of them again. If there were a problem with a Democratic candidate (such as several national candidates having criminal charges against them, I’d probably just not vote if there weren’t an alternative third party candidate.

I happened to this time, but I don't always. There were several posts where candidates were unopposed.

This year, yes, to send a message to Republicans. Me too.

Pretty much. I voted for 3 of the other party but primarily voted the way I'm registered.

I voted 99% one party, but our governor is the other party and I voted for him. He's been good for the state. Not me. I voted for the Republican for governor -- Baker is a good guy. I also voted for our incumbent Republican state rep and state senator. Both ran unopposed. Both great guys -- intelligent, responsive, and hard workers. I've had long discussions with both of them and agree with them on many issues. That's the most important thing in representation -- actually working hard to help the people you represent. At the Federal level, it was Democratic all the way. I was proud to vote for Elizabeth Warren and Seth Moulton.

I did. At this point it would take a lot for me to vote for a republican. But I wouldn’t count it out completely if the democratic candidate was horrible. I don’t want to be one of those people who votes for an asshole or racist just because of the party. There are too many people that do that now and it sucks.

Nope. I researched each candidate and chose that way. Most of the votes went Democrat, but I voted for a relative who is a Republican (and very competent) and another Republican who had a lower rating with the NRA. My area is small and a lot of offices were uncontested, so I voted for those Republicans by default.

No, I placed a protest vote for a Libertarian against a Republican and I voted for a Republican judge over a terrible D candidate.

I’m a conservative in a red state but voted for both Rs and Ds and for the Medicaid expansion which was considered a D platform.

I could not even if I wanted to because of some of the local races. There used to be a straight ticket option on our ballots but they don't do that anymore. I never chose the option. I think it is important to go through and mark all the races even if you do choose one party.
