For December Daily or other smaller projects, I see a lot of people (myself included sometimes) with photos (full page or otherwise) that FACE each other in an album.
Are there any concerns about these photos sticking together in the long run?
And semi-related: Has anyone tried printing photos on matte presentation paper or something non-sticky? How do they look?

I try to put a round, heart, or rectangle chipboard on each photo so they don't fully touch. Photo 1 place the chipboard near the top, photo 2 near the bottom or vice versa.

So far, mine have not stuck together. But I don’t print at home so I’m not sure if that makes a difference.

I’ve made a few little albums where there are some pictures like this. They haven’t stuck together, and I know one album was done probably 10 years ago at a CKU. I do not print my pictures at home. Sometimes printers make these “feel” funny to me, those are the ones I would worry about sticking.

Anything that repeatedly touches the photo with friction can cause some damage to the photo. I would guess the albums in question don't get a whole lot of page turning. If the album is exposed to moisture the photos will stick.

I haven't had issues with photos sticking together, but I did have an issue where a photo was up against one of Ali's transparencies with gold on it and where the gold on the transparency was pressed up against the photo, the gold dulled. I also had issues where photos were pushed up against bulkier embellishments they ended up getting slightly warped.
This year I'm going to try to be more aware of what is up against my photos that are outside the page protector (which most of them will be in my DD because of the size/style I am doing). I am going to try putting photos up against paper and vellum as much as possible.

I've done mini albums with exposed photos touching and not experienced any issues yet but I live in a dry climate.
For 3x8, 4x8 and 6x8, I tend to chicken out and have photos outside of page protectors facing a page protector, sheet of vellum, transparency or journaling insert. 🐔

I would put something between them. I had a batch of photos stick together once in the envelope I placed them in.

I once made an album without page protectors and the pictures did stick together and were ruined. Other times I haven't had a problem. I use an inkjet printer at home. The only thing I can think of is maybe I didn't let the photos dry long enough before I put them in the album and consequently face to face so they stuck. Now if I am not using a page protector I make sure to let the photos dry several days.

And semi-related: Has anyone tried printing photos on matte presentation paper or something non-sticky? How do they look? I have printed photos on matte presentation paper with two photos facing each other in a traveler's notebook and they seem to be holding up fine so far (about a year now).
