We went last week and had the turkey with mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. The food looked good, initially tasted good, then as gradually consumed... it tasted like nothing. Even the mac and cheese. Do you think restaurants are cutting back on wholesome ingredients? We have been so disappointed lately on the expensive- not-so-great pick up places, that I feel like we're better off eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich from home.

I've seen it. On my last visit the food was just not good. The gravy looked almost like jelly and had no flavor. Other than the chicken, everything had that "fast food/not real food" flavor to it. They used to be one of my favorite places to grab a quick dinner but I don't see myself going back now. I'll stick with Panera now.

Boston Market still exists? All the ones near me and in my travels are gone!

We used to love Boston Market but there isn't one decently close. I love their cornbread but haven't eaten there recently enough to know about the quality of their food.

I haven't been in forever. Don't know if the nearest one (30+ miles) is even still there...
I googled, it is. It's a shame if the quality is going downhill. It was the one "not quite fast food" I didn't feel quite so guilty about picking up on the way home from work.
I enjoyed some of it. Cornbread and (I can't remember been that long) were good.
EXCEPT when I was pregnant. Couldn't stand the sight or smell of it. We even drove by one and I saw the sign and had to turn away to keep my stomach from turning . and yet other fast food , normally yuck, was fine and dandy. weird.

The last time we went to Boston Market was years ago and it seemed to us that the food quality had declined then, which is why it's been years since eating there!

I still get their frozen meatloaf meals from the supermarket and those have gone to okay enough.
I ate in an actual restaurant for the first time in probably ten years over the summer. It was awful. The cornbread was hard as a rock and had an awful taste. The meatloaf was weird. The potatoes were cold. I went around dinner time, too, so it all should have been fresh and hot.

The food is still decent but the atmosphere has gone to pot. It used to be comfy in there but now it has bad LED lights and all that funky equipment that looks like bad fast food. Or maybe it's just our store.

The food quality went down years ago, IMO. We stopped going at least 5 years ago because the food became gag-worthy, and we used to go regularly.

We used to get takeout from there regularly (2 times a month or so) years and years ago. Maybe 15? Then the food started to not be good at all so we stopped. We decided to give them another try a couple of years ago and the food was HORRIBLE.
Dry. Hard. Cold. No flavor. We have no intentions of ever giving them another try. Ever.
I do have a 'rule' that if I get bad food at a restaurant (takeout or sit down) twice, I will not go back for a long, long time. If ever. I used to really like Outback and Carrabba's but the last two times we went the food was wretched. Haven't been back to either in about 10 years.

My daughter and I stopped at one about 1/2 hour from our house. It used to be pretty good. This time DD ate two bites of her sandwich and the meal I got was kind of gross. Tasteless and just not appetizing, never mind the restaurant itself needed some serious cleaning up. We left without finishing. Won’t be back.

We went to on in Charlotte a couple of weeks ago and it was very good as usual. I wish we had one closer. We went to Olive Garden this week and that is the restaurant to me that has declined or my tastes have changed. I used to really like their soup, salad and breadsticks. The salad is still good but the other foods aren't so much. I tasted DH's chicken dish and it was just fair.

In all fairness, all I ever get is the chicken and it's still pretty tender. The pieces have gotten smaller but it's still good.

We have one close by and I haven't noticed any change but I usually get their Southwest salad with chicken. Yum!

Did they finally reduce the amount of salt they put in everything?

The breadsticks don't even taste of garlic anymore. And yet every time I drive by one, it is packed.
