I have been getting tired very early the last few weeks. Exhausted and mentally fatigued much earlier than normal. I’ve also been waking up a little earlier. I told Dj that I think I am still not adjusted to the time change. He thinks that is ridiculous. Besides work being a little busier I can’t think of any other reason for being so tired. What say the peas? Is anyone else still struggling with the time change?

Yes. Now instead of waking up between 6 and 6:40 (even on weekends), I'm awake at 5:00 and waiting for DH's alarm clock to go off at 5:15. I need to reprogram my coffee maker...if I'm going to get up at 5, then I'm not waiting until 5:55 for my coffee!

Yup. It isn’t so much the getting up because I have no choice in that matter. I have a dog that I have to physically be outside with which means getting up when she does. But I hit the wall hard in the late afternoon. I can barely keep my eyes open before dinner.

Yes! I've been so exhausted this week. Late afternoon it's like I hit a wall and don't really bounce back. I'm usually up until midnight and have been in bed by 10:30 this week. At first I though I was just tired from the Quilt Festival last week, but I've been home for 7 days. I should be over that. Then again, you would think I'd be over the time change by now.

This morning I woke up at 9:45. It was glorious. I usually am up by 7. I do eellike I need to go to bed around 8 though. I hate that part. Today I counted 11 people out walking or running on my normal walk. Usually there are closer to 30-40. It was close to four o'clock and people don't get out after the sun goes behind the mountains.

I have to do five minute increments longer each day for two weeks. After two weeks, they still are harrumphing at the earlier time. Today I gave up and fed them around 4:30 because we were going out to eat at five.

I am still struggling - and add to the time change, I had to get up every morning at 5 this week instead of my usual 6, so that I could get DD to her bus stop while DH was out of town - he has bus stop duty the first half of the year and I take the second half but he was out of town this week. So with my alarm being set for 5, that meant I woke up at 3:30 or 4 - like, wide awake. I checked the time, groaned and just laid there until I fell back asleep until the rude *@ing alarm goes off. I know that they say that you should get out of bed when you wake up like that without the alarm, but if I do that, I will be ready for bed by 7PM if I am lucky enough to last that long. TODAY I am up at 4:30 to see them off for a softball tourney ... now the dilemma is - go back to sleep or start the day? Bleh. It's too early for this being productive nonsense.

Ugh, i'm at the end of my rope at this point! I've struggled with waking a little on the early side since I had surgery in September, but it's been worse since the time change. Mostly worse because the dogs are all screwed up too. They're getting up at 4:30 It's gotten old real quick. Generally when they get up they're fed too, but Thursday i'd had enough and I set an eating schedule and i'm sticking to it. I'm too tired to let these beasts run my life this week

Yes, up at 4 a.m. instead of 5 a.m. everyday. Today was the first day I "slept in." I hate ANY time change.

I drugged myself with Benadryl last night. Crashed into sweet oblivion at 10 and woke up on my own around 6:30. I didn't open my eyes until almost 7. Benadry knocks me OUT cold! When I DO wake up during the night, I go right back out. It's wonderful! I feel so much better today than I have for a while. The problem is that I can't take it during the work week, I feel SO hung over if I can't wake up naturally after taking it.

I am affected by the time change until it switches back to Daylight Saving Time in the spring. I hate it getting dark so early!

No, it takes me only a few days to get used to it. What REALLY messes with me is TIME ZONES... We went from Mountain Time to Eastern Time years ago. Yes, I still got up at 7 am and went to bed at 11 pm BUT the clocks in North Carolina said 9 am and 1 am!
And when I first moved here to Mountain Time, I was continuing to wake up at 6 am... unfortunately, it was 5 am HERE and I didn't have to get up until 6:30 to get to work by 7:30. I did that from the middle of June until we changed back in the fall. Then, all of a sudden, I was back on schedule, just taking a few days in the spring and fall getting used to the time. UNTIL the three months I mentioned about in North Carolina.
With the hours I work now, I really appreciate having some daylight when I leave work in the summertime.

Yes, still struggling. There has to be a better way! I’m sorry you are all struggling as well, but it makes me feel better that I’m not the only one. Now I need to take advantage of being up earlier and use that time to work out instead of laying in bed trying to go back to sleep. I mostly hate being tired so early. I usually have to do some paperwork after the kids go to bed but lately I have been too exhausted to get that done.

I’m doing much better with this time change than I do when we spring forward. I have to get up early (like 5 am early) and it is nice that the sun is rising earlier, it makes it easier to get up.
This is a busy season I think it is normal to feel tired.

I too am struggling. But I don't know if it is the time change or the fact, no matter what the clock is set for, I get up in the dark and come home in the twilight/soon to be dark. I don't even live that far north! I will stay in a "jet lag fog" until the days start to get longer as counted by the actual hours between sunrise and sunset.

Add me to the struggling group. I always struggle with it but this year seems worse than usual. Can't wait for spring.

I agree with this, I do better with Fall Back than Spring Forward. I tend to go to bed later than I should, but with the time change I am going to bed earlier, making it so much easier to wake up when I need to.
