DD (20) and DS (18) are home for Thanksgiving break. DH and I are so happy to have some quality family time this week.
Tonight after supper we were going to watch TV. DH gave the kids the remote and told them to find something this baking or food--he and I have binged the Great British Baking Show lately.
We ended up watching Chicken Run. They insisted that it was food related, and British, so therefore, it counted.
We are now watching The Emperor's New Groove....and they kids are reciting it.
word. for. word.
FYI, it is funnier that way, especially since DS does a great Kronk. LOL.
I kind of love my weird, crazy kids. This is going to be a good week.

My boys are 24 and 23. We are often caught sharing comedy bits or movie scenes. We watch strange tv shows together And I encourage the weird.

Your post makes me happy. I've got 2 of my 3 kids with me and will get the 3rd tomorrow night. All are in college. Even though I only got to be alone one week, I am still so so SO happy that my kids are with me.

Enjoy them!!! Have fun!!!
My brother and I would do "Wizard of Oz" word-for-word, pre-internet, and my girls quote "Men in Black."

Love it. DD already requested that we watch Mary Poppins when home for Thanksgiving. They are bringing home a friend who hasn't seen it before. (how?!?!) I think it's funny and endearing how college kids return and relive their childhood from four or more years ago.
