I'll have to catch tonight's episode later and that will be it until the new year for TWD!

I just a few minutes ago saw that there is an episode tonight. For some reason I thought last week was the mid season finale.

I’m having a hard time getting into it since Rick, Maggie and Carl are gone- especially with the time jump. Seems like a show I quit watching for a few years then tried to watch it again and had no clue what was happening.

Thanks for that article. I was so excited with the fight scene. I was like"FINALLY! Jesus is going to be shown as the bad ass ninja he is in the comics.". Womp womp
Other than that the episode was amazing. The Whisperers are my favorite big bad and they did a great job on them.
Also, Aaron is never getting laid now lol.

Why do I watch this show just before bedtime? Now I can’t sleep. Those Whisperers are really scary. This has been a good season, like the early ones. RIP Jesus.

I think the last episode I watched was when Carl died. I know Rick left the show as well, but what happened with Maggie?

The story is Maggie took Hershel somewhere ‘far away’ to help someone build a community. Lauren Cohen has a show on ABC. So the WD writers have left her spot open for a return if she wants to come back.

Thank you for sharing the link. Haven’t watched the last couple of episodes. Glad to know ahead of time about Jesus. Wonder why the show didn’t utilize him more.

So why did Jesus not just go through the gate which was apparently walker-free on the other side with the others? They could then block the gate closed to buy some time from the walkers and run. It doesn't make any sense that he stayed to play Chuck Norris and kill them when he had an easy out with the others. Sh!t like that bugs me! Like when Rick didn't shoot Negan on site when he has ample opportunities before the war happened. If you're going to include it in the story then at least make us believe the reason WHY it's going that way.
Having said that- I liked the episode. WD has never been "creepy" but it sure has been the last few episodes and I love it!
Did Hilltop (Maggie) and Kingdom (King) have a falling out with Michonne because she refuses to allow new people into Alexandria? I've been trying to figure out why she's not wanted at Hilltop and why she's refusing to do the Fair but it hasn't been explained yet. What do ya'll think about that situation?? Why do they have a problem with her?
I love that the new people went with Michonne (unknown to her) and helped her at the cemetery.

I agree with you about Jesus not going through the gate when he had the chance. Although, now our group knows these walkers are real people in disguise instead of evolving. I watched Talking Dead last night and apparently we will find out about the falling out when Walking Dead returns in February.

I finally finished the episode.
I think jesus stayed to give them a chance to run. This herd hunted them down. He may have wanted to give eugene a chance to run.
I thought negan might go back into the cell. It ought to be interesting now that he is out.
I'm gonna be pissed when they kill the dog.
Knowing just a small amount of the comics and listening to Ttd I know that Carl was supposed to hook up with a whisperer. So I have two thoughts...Henry will take Carl's story arc or, based on the sneak peek, Daryl might.
What do y'all think?

And whatever this fair is, I'm betting michonne finally agrees to take part and the whisperers show up and chaos ensues

I am still mourning the loss of Jesus. His character had so much potential and I think Tom Payne is a good actor. It really, really sucks that they kept him under wraps for so long - they gave him one good fight scene and now he's dead. I was stupid and read a spoiler before watching the episode so I knew what was going to happen. I was so surly during the entire thing, brooding the whole time... I didn't enjoy what was otherwise a good episode because I was dreading what was coming up. I was wanting to see Jesus become the leader that he was capable of being and I wanted to see Aaron and Jesus together. And, quite frankly, Tom Payne is not hard to look at and that man bun!? I'm usually not one for man buns, but dang, he wore it well.

Jesus had a very fun-to-watch fighting style. Like watching an intricate dance. It's a shame gimpel never went anywhere with it.

I agree with so much of what was said above.
I hate when there is no reasonable explanation for why the character does what they do. We are just left saying, “That wouldn’t happen...”
I also think that the scene with the teen actors who introduced themselves to Henry showed some of the worst acting I have seen on TWD. I felt like I was a watching a small town local theater with teens that had no acting skills or training and a drama teacher that had never acted a day in her life. I. Am. Going. To. Go. Here. Ha. Ha. I. Am. Going. To. Go. Too. Ok. Ha. Ha. Do. You. Want. To. Sneak. Out. ....that’s how I felt watching that scene. Anyone else think that way?
