I just signed up for the $0.99 per month deal for Hulu. This is my first 'alternate TV' subscription (don't have Netflix, etc). What shows, etc are your favorites? I'm on maternity leave for another 2 months and will actually have binge watching time for a bit!
Actually, now that I think of it, I have Amazon Prime, too. I think there's a movie/show access with that, too. Any great shows there you'd recommend??

Handmaids Tale - I have only watched the first season but I also signed up and plan to watch the second season. I am looking forward to seeing more suggestions as I have looked around and not finding much since we already have cable.

I just signed up also so I don't have much of an answer. But, I want to watch the rest of "The Handmaid's Tale" (I started in on plane going overseas so I had time to watch a few episodes only), and I noticed they have all seasons of "Survivor" going back to the very beginning. Also all of "Bones" which was taken off of Netflix. And I saw "Master Chef" go by as I was scrolling so I'm hoping they have old seasons of that also. I haven't investigated more than that yet.

Not sure if it is still there as I watched it 2 years ago, but it's a mini series called 11/22/63. It's based on a book by Stephen King about a man who travels back in time to try to prevent JFK from being assassinated.
The only other thing I have watched on Hulu is Handmaids Tale, and it is excellent.

Handmaids Tale Star Friday Night Lights Disappeared (if you’re a true crime junkie like me) ER House Hunters (a lot of the people annoying me on there so it’s so more of something for me to laugh at lol) Killing Fields (another rue crime series...really good!) Home Improvement

I'm not working much during the time he's gone so I am going to have FUN with my new Hulu.

I'm waiting to see if my husband remembered to sign up. I looked online and saw the TV show Brothers and Sisters. I remember liking that one and it has Sally Field. There were also some old shows from the 80's and 90's like Blossom, Full House, Family Matters, and Perfect Strangers. I'm not going to binge watch them, but thought they would be fun for a few episodes. Medium is another one that I would watch.

We signed up too and have been watching Runaways so far.
Question: Can you make a list of shows you want to watch? Any other nifty features to know about?

Thanks for this thread! I didn’t know about he .99 promo, and now I’m signed up. I’ve been wanting to watch the Handmade’s Tale. But I have directv and Netflix already and didn’t want to pay for more. Getting rid of directv is not an option for my house, we really do watch a lot of variety.

I got Hulu in June so I could binge-watch The Golden Girls. Which I did! Then I watched about nine seasons of MASH. I can't recommend that enough--they've remastered it or something and it looks fantastic! Plus, when you watch it on TVLand or whatever, you're only seeing about half the show, so it's great to see the whole episode.
My husband and I have been watching a little-known NBC sitcom called Superstore which is really funny. I believe you can also see all the seasons of Brooklyn Nine-Nine on Hulu, too. Love that show.
Right now I'm catching the few episodes I've missed of Leah Remini's Scientology show. Hulu has seasons 1 and 2.

I just signed up too and I have been watching This is Us. I really like the show, but it has been years since I have watched regular television with commercials and I am beyond annoyed with them. I’ve been spoiled in my binging on Netflix and Amazon Prime, I guess. And I wouldn’t mind commercials if they didn’t keep replaying the exact same 6 commercials until I am so irritated by them that I wouldn’t buy whatever it was even if I wanted one. Variety, please! Has regular television gotten this bad as well?

Just hit the “My Stuff” button to add shows you want to watch and keep track of. For Hulu Originals, I like Safe Harbour, Difficult People, and The Mindy Project.

But enough with the same commercials over and over and over again.

We have been watching "Unreal" which is a Hulu Original. It is a drama set behind the scenes of a reality show like the Bachelor. Their version is called Everlasting. If what really happens on those reality shows is even a fraction of what goes on in Unreal, oh boy!
I got Hulu originally to watch Empire and the last seasons of Nashville.

Took advantage of the 99¢ special. My biggest complaint is attempting to watch episode 1 of Handmaid'sTail and it just won't load. I get to watch 30 seconds and then it in "loading" mode I watch 1 minute and then more "loading". Is this common with Hulu? Not happy right now. I watched about 10 minutes abd shut it off.

Well, I'm not happy! I started a free month of Hulu and Netflix a year ago. Hulu had me on 5.99 a month rather than $7.99 for the year. And now 99 cents! Oh well, I've enjoyed this last year I've had Hulu. I'm no help, I like to watch REALLY old shows on Hulu. I watch movies and newer stuff but kept it for the old shows.

great thread! We use it mainly to watch the shows that we used to catch on cable. I like Manifest, The Goldbergs, and I can't think what else we watch on there, but I have several things in my stuff to watch. we use Netflix, too, and so I sometimes get caught up in those series and forget about hulu.
I have added some things due to this thread, so thanks for asking!

Has regular television gotten this bad as well? CBS does this also if you watch online (not the All Access thing but just regular online watching of recent episodes). It's annoying but I just tune them out. I'm always doing something else anyway while I'm watching TV. I agree about never wanting to buy whatever product it was in the commercial. Irritate me too much and that's it for your product.
