Sorry, I haven't read the whole thread but my favorite thing would be a nice smelling candle. Problem is in defining 'nice smelling' - because that can be so different for people. And some people never burn candles. I have a cupboard full, but if I use anything now it's more likely wax melts. So true. We got a candle from a friend one year that was so perfumey and strong it gave me a headache and we never even lit the thing! I couldn’t even keep it in the house. DH had to get rid of it. The only time we burn candles at our house is in our carved pumpkins on Halloween.

These Joseph Joseph expandable trivets are awesome. Rubber so they don't slide around and can accommodate all sizes of pots and pans, yet super small to store. They're $13 on Amazon. There's a $10 version but it doesn't expand like the other one does. Everything by Joseph Joseph is amazing - I bought a cool knife washing brush ($8) and neat cutting board ($14) that folds to dump stuff into a pot for holiday gifts this year, so you can just see what they have available. If you have to buy it in store, might just go to Bed Bath and Beyond or Target and look around. They always have cool stuff. Wet lotion, that you put on right in the shower, is awesome and about $6/bottle. Made putting lotion on daily wayyyy easier for me. You could pair it with a bath poof or some other small item. This would be like, the least exciting thing to get ever, but I love it - Drill brush. Makes cleaning the corners of the shower WAY easier. Gotta know your audience on this one. Instant-read food thermometers are around $10 and sooooo great for anyone that cooks, bakes, or grills. I must have that drill brush. I might love that as much as a shop vac. Getting the expandable trivet too.

The giant jar of Peanut Butter Filled Pretzels from Costco. $8.99. I'm loving them right now.

That's one of my answers. I also like the flavored olive oils from those olive oil boutique places. Depending on the size bottle, you might could get two and then add one of those dispenser spout tops that go on them. At the olive oil place near me, the smallest bottle of the cheapest stuff is like $25! Aldi and Trader Joes have flavored oils. Trader Joes is probably more consistent and not rotated out so much.

Just got home from Costco and guess what I brought home with me! You know, so the kids can put a few chocolates into gift bags for their teachers....I certainly won't be sampling any of them myself. I went looking for my bag last night and couldn’t find it. Apparently my nieces and nephews at them on Thanksgiving, while I was busy slaving away in the Kitchen. Jen Nooooooooo

World Market has an area with trial size stuff called Gourmet miniatures like flavored olive oils and balsamic vinegar, hot sauces, etc. They often go on sale, you can pick up 3 or 4 for a fun grab bag of goodies.

He's so paranoid about stinking up a restroom, that it's become a family joke! Btw, they've been together for 8 years so he won't be offended!
