We are doing a favorite things gift exchange with some friends. We need to buy 3 of the same item with a cost of around $10 a piece that will be given away in a raffle.
I am really drawing a blank. What would you buy given these guidelines? I want something pretty useful and unique that can be purchased in a brick and mortar store.

you can't go wrong with Starbucks gift cards. you can't even buy one of their coffee mugs for $10 but a gift card is always handy.

These Joseph Joseph expandable trivets are awesome. Rubber so they don't slide around and can accommodate all sizes of pots and pans, yet super small to store. They're $13 on Amazon. There's a $10 version but it doesn't expand like the other one does. Everything by Joseph Joseph is amazing - I bought a cool knife washing brush ($8) and neat cutting board ($14) that folds to dump stuff into a pot for holiday gifts this year, so you can just see what they have available. If you have to buy it in store, might just go to Bed Bath and Beyond or Target and look around. They always have cool stuff. Wet lotion, that you put on right in the shower, is awesome and about $6/bottle. Made putting lotion on daily wayyyy easier for me. You could pair it with a bath poof or some other small item. This would be like, the least exciting thing to get ever, but I love it - Drill brush. Makes cleaning the corners of the shower WAY easier. Gotta know your audience on this one. Instant-read food thermometers are around $10 and sooooo great for anyone that cooks, bakes, or grills.

Oooohhh, Turbie Twists are great too. You can pick those up at TJ Maxx/Home Goods, usually near the check out or in the beauty section.

I like candles but a lot of people don't like scents. What pops in my mind is a grocery tote. Seems like you can't have too many and there are lots of nice big ones. I know you said local but amazon has 2 insulated ones for $19 so one for each person and one for you!

1. Starbucks g/c (or Dutch Bros, which is super popular here) 2. Movie theater g/c (I prefer Harkins) 3. Target g/c 4. Kohl's big one throw.

My go-to would also be a Starbucks gift card. Even if the person isn’t a Starbucks addict, almost everyone can find something there to eat or drink, or they can pass the card along as a gift to someone more appreciative. Also: cute seasonal/novelty socks. box of candy. new paperback book. coffee or soup mug. decorative switch plate cover. decorative potholder/dish towel set. unscented pillar or decorative candle. small basket filled with candies or other small items.

Nice scented hand lotions. I have a weakness! Scented candles Warm socks Specialty food ingredients. Our deli section has amazing mustard spreads and other sandwich spreads like that. Beautiful pads of paper for grocery lists Small picture frames for my work desk or nightstand Bath salts Toberlone chocolate

An RFID wallet is something most people could use. Amazon has some for under $10 here and here. The digital thermometer AN mentioned would be great as well. I have one and could use another one. The Big One Blanket at Kohl's... if they are still $8.99... best gift ever for things like this. I realize these are a very popular amongst the peas, but I would hate to receive one of these. We have more than enough blankets and quilts and don't need anymore. I'd probably donate it to the animal shelter.

Venus razor shave gel gift set
I like really practical, consumable items. This is just under ten bucks, and they sell them at Target, Wal-Mart, Walgreens.

In the Midwest we have Kwik Trip gas stations that also sell bakery and grocery items and they also have a car wash. Kwik Trip gift cards are always popular where I work.
At work we gather donations from vendors throughout the year for our annual employee meeting. Some of the popular giveaways are: small flashlights, LED flameless candles, mittens/gloves, water bottles, insulated coffee mugs, and eyeglass cleaning kits ( spray bottle and wiping cloth)

Next time we go to Vegas I'll buy breakfast for two.

have you considered a bundle of sticks tied with a pretty ribbon? I know they sell for bout $42, but you could DIY it for a fraction of that price.

Satsuma body butter from The Body Shop $10 when it’s on sale Kitchen Lemon foaming soap from Bath and Body works. It’s less that $10 but you could do a few of them EOS lip balm. Again they are less than $10 so you could do a few of them. Jen

I gave them to my Starbucks-addicted DIL one time when she was feeling particularly broke, and she was thrilled. I hardly ever go there except to buy gift cards for other people. LOL

For those suggestion movie tickets, our local theater charge about $15 for one ticket. I think even a matinee and the "cheap" theater is about $7 for one person. I am envious you can see a movie for $10 bucks!

I love these pashmina scarves at JCP. I have two, one I keep at work so I can drape it over my shoulders or across my legs when i'm cold. They're a good size. Plus they are only 5.99 after code but look and feel more expensive. pashmina

Okay ya'll with those used Starbuck's gift cards.. send me a message and I can gladly take those pesky things off your hands... Yes I love Starbucks and I am not embarrassed, ashamed or feel guilty about it. I don't even drink coffee (lol). I do try to limit my visits though!
