Sorry your teeth hurt. I would just call and ask about it. One of the worst things ever is when your teeth hurt!!!

I had a filling three weeks ago, and it's still sensitive. I thought it would be over in a day or two (never had a filling before), but it still hurts! I hope your pain goes away sooner than that.

I had a "hot spot" after a filling. At least that's what he called it... It just became more and more bothersome. As soon as he took a little off, I guess like leveling a spot, the result was immediate.

Yes, it can happen since your tooth and nerves can get riled up when the dentist is in there messing around. Try using Sensodyne toothpaste for a few weeks and see if that helps...if it does not stop in a day or two.

I had no pain at all prior to having the new fillings done but now the pain/sensitivity is pretty constant.

That happened me also. My pain came from where the novacaine was inserted. The pain would wake me up at night if I didn't take Advil around the clock. It lasted 3 weeks and then it just stopped.

I had this weird thing after one of my last large fillings where I could eat an almond or a tortilla chip and not have any pain at all, but I could chew a bite of banana and be in grab-your-face, catch-your-breath pain. Bizarre.
I went back and said, what gives? and he filed off a tiny bit of the filling and I never had so much as a twinge from that tooth from then on.

I was told it can last up to 4 weeks, and if longer to ask about it. My dentist gave me this sensitive tooth medicine to put on it that coats the tooth to ease the sensitivity while it is healing, you may want to ask about that.

I had work done on my tooth and a month later I was still taking pain pills. They weren't working any more.
I remember what a friend had said so I decided to try her suggestion. That morning I put a teaspoon of Coconut oil in my mouth and swished it around. It made me gag
but I did it for about 5 min. We went out to the mall. I realized later in the afternoon that was the first time my tooth didn't hurt anymore!!! I've been doing it ever since.
Swish with coconut oil. Seriously it helps!

Same EXACT thing here. Decided to replace an older mercury filling. Had not been really bothering me but it was loose and I had benefits to use before my husband left the navy.
Thing hurt for a YEAR! Yes I was back in there constantly. Originally I think it was possibly an ill fitted filling. When they finally decided to do a 360* scan they realized something was wrong (hello like I said!!) I had an infection that had eaten away part of the bone. Endodontist said it was an aggressive infection but could not locate a reason for it?! Root canal and crown and they are still not guaranteeing I won't now lose the entire tooth at some point. I have 3 month follow ups with Endodontist for the next year to see if the bone regenerates because the tooth still has a slight wiggle to it. :/ all over a tiny filling.
Long story (believe it not, not even the whole story) but get back in ASAP and make sure they fix it! I'll probably never know if this could have been prevented or at least caught much earlier. And I still could be paying for an implant down the road, AFTER this root canal and crown!

I had tooth sensitivity after a cleaning this past time. And it stuck around for over a week. Nothing like helping your teeth and then having them hurt, right?
I'm really sorry yours are bothering you.
