Do you want to learn to crochet or brush up on your skills? I found a great beginner series yesterday. Actually she has a tutorial for a shawl I want to make that lainey shared. As I was looking at her other videos, I came across her beginner videos. She even has a magic ring tutorial, a corner-to-corner tutorial, and granny squares. She starts from the very basics--supplies, chain stitch, etc. She teaches very clearly. I thought some of y'all might like it so here it is. Enjoy! Oh, and if you are advanced at crochet, check out her entire channel. GREAT stuff there! m.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLm1v3H_zVy6YFQVc9SXtHXboTBSAS9bUl

Thanks! Excellent timing also.... I've been saying for years that I want to learn to crochet and I just never get around to it. Last summer dd and I bought these crochet kits to make Star Wars figures even though neither one of us knows a single crochet stitch. lol I'll take a look at these videos...maybe over Christmas vacation we can learn together. Sweet! Thanks for sharing! Iāve always wanted to learn to crochet. I much prefer the look of crochet hats to knitted hats as a whole.

Thanks for sharing this! One of my goals for 2018 was to brush up on my crochet skills. I've made a few crocheted baby blankets, but haven't done anything for many, many years and can't wait to start again. I guess I'll have to roll this goal into my 2019 list!

Thanks for this. Love your new picture. š Awe, thank you. I took it in the car Saturday morning before heading to a Women's Ministry event at church. Thought it was time for an update. And hope these videos help each of you. She really has some great stuff. Definitely a great channel to subscribe to (at least for me).

Cool! I just learned a few years ago entirely from books and videos. My work is rough but getting better. I love videos like this, thanks! That's me, too. (Well, technically my mom showed me the very, very basics when I was young.) I got halfway decent, and then didn't do anything with it for a few years. Now I'm kind of restarting again, and if you read the craft thread, you'll see I've had some, ahem, challenges. Thanks, Patter!

One thing that has helped me a ton is using the various ergonomic crochet hooks. Otherwise my hand cramps up and I don't generally have muscle/joint/hand problems. It helps kids, too, since there's more of an area to grasp.

I do enjoy her videos, she has a few cardigans that I'd like to make. Do you know how impressed with your skills I am? You are just so talented when you say there are a bunch of ācardigans youād like to makeā I know you are serious and will have all these new clothes. That is just so cool. Back to regular crochet talk...

Thanks for the link! My grandma taught us how when we were young, but I haven't crocheted in years so this will help. I've been thinking about taking it up again.

I tried and tried again yesterday. I gave up and just did my usual ch4, sl st in first ch. Works for me so why struggle. LOL!
