Someone should point out to her, it's the 21st century.
Why isn't she shaming fathers for working?

Here’s a new concept for her to grasp: How about women support each other’s choices? I wish women would stop perpetuating this crap.

Funny my life wasn’t totally fulfilling as a stay at home wife/mother I did ok at the stay at home mother part. My kids came out ok and I did 95% of that. But since I’m divorced I gues I sucked at the stay at home wife part.
It’s ‘funny’ I feel more fulfilled now divorced than I did then, always doubting myself never making a secure decision.
So I guess I beg to differ with her flow chart

I read some more on her fb page. Yikes! Soooo cringy! Do people actually believe that shit? Yes, yes they do. There's way too much shaming in Christian circles. I'm Facebook friends with many of the girls that I went to that culty Christian church/school my mom was involved with when I was a kid. We often talk about the despair of the "role" we were supposed to play as Christian wives and broodmares. Life looked bleak. Education wasn't encouraged, stay at home was the only 'right' decision. Some of the girls ran away, but they're doing fine now. Some of us are childfree, but we're all married to men who don't believe all that ridiculous crap. Most of the men at that church were self-important blowhard assholes with wives that lived lives of quiet desperation. Tons of kids, no time for their own interests. Helping out with the house and children was considered going above and beyond. If the men needed to do it, it was obviously a failing on the woman's part. There was also a lot of shame for being women. I actually had a male teacher tell me that I was going to be sexually promiscuous because of my red hair! What a nasty thing to say to a 14-year-old girl. Like I could change my hair color. Well, I did, actually. I used temporary dye and pigment depositing products until Rob discovered that I was a redhead and encouraged me to let my true self shine through. A lot of the girls that got married felt so shamed of their sexuality that some didn't have sex for quite a while after marriage. (one was over a year!-except for consummating the marriage which was pretty traumatic) It's weird to go from no contact with the opposite sex to being expected to do whatever the husband wants overnight. Some girls' first kiss was at their wedding. The whole women are expected to fulfill her husband's sexual desires completely regardless of her own really makes me furious. I think this attitude is changing, but the older pastors and church leaders/teachers, women in leadership roles still push this narrative. The worst was when Josh Duggar's wife was blamed for his adultery because she obviously didn't keep him satisfied. Even though she had babies, and he's a sexual predator.

I’m proud of my contributions to the family economy by working outside the home. We need extra income at this stage of our lives and I provide it. Everyone benefits. It’s not perfect but I feel I am a very good wife and mother.
So I just reject the judgment of people who don’t know me.

I want to know how staying at home with her kids helps her to be intimate with her husband every night. When I had a four-year-old, a one year old, and a newborn, I wasn't ready for intimacy every night… wonder what I was doing wrong??

OMG! As bad as that flowchart is, I think this blog post is even worse! thetransformedwife.com/men-prefer-debt-free-virgins-without-tattoos/From the article: Do you know how much more attractive debt-free virgins (without tattoos)? There are many reasons why Christian young women should carefully consider whether or not they go to college, especially if they want to be wives and mothers someday. Secular universities teach against the God of the Bible and His ways. It’s far from what God calls women to be and do: it teaches them to be independent, loud, sexually available, and immodest instead of having meek and quiet spirits.
One woman wrote to me and gave her opinions on why women shouldn’t go to college. (Her opinions are in quotes.)
“Men don’t want to marry a women with debt. Most of this debt comes from college. They would also prefer a woman who still lives at her parent’s house that has not had other relationships. Do those two things and you will be highly sought after.”re to young men? Unfortunately, there are so few of these types of young women anymore because of the high costs of college (debt) and sexual promiscuity even from those within the church. As believers in Jesus Christ, we need to live in a way that is pleasing to the Lord because His ways are the best. He calls debt a burden and urges us to live lives of sexual purity.

We all know men's desires are important and women's needs should be subsumed to men's needs in these cultures.

this woman is full of this shit, it comes to the surface every couple years when she writes something really outrageous. i can spot her work instantly now. a facebook friend often "likes" them and so they show up in my feed. my friend is very lovely, and is very happy staying at home and in old fashioned gender roles. but wow, personally i just can't with this. check this out if you want an even more clear idea about what this woman thinks we women should be. don't go to college or get tattoos, because it will be so much harder for your husband to teach you how you should be! plus, you might get that fancy degree and job and then your husband might decide that you need to stay home, and then it's all for naught and you would've been better served being meek and studying the bible. thetransformedwife.com/men-prefer-debt-free-virgins-without-tattoos/ETA oops didn't see that link had already been posted!

Every time I think we have come so far, we get shot down the toilet again. Fortunately, I truly believe this line of thought is not the majority. I am going to continue to believe that. I agree w/you. It is no longer seen as anything other than bitchy, shaming, sanctimonious, etc. It used to be agreed to by so many women my age. But younger women and those just coming into marriage/kids time of life reject this stuff as the drivel that it is. You want to stay home, great. You want to work, great. You want to do both at different times, great. Do what works for YOUR FAMILY NOW not for a book of ancient rules written by bronze age men in the desert. I am grateful that we keep moving this kind of thinking to the wacky fringe. Same w/Purity culture - which I did a s/o thread on (http://2peasrefugees.boards.net/post/2378717/thread) because that was another stupid idea that got a lot of traction in the past but that is seen as the lunacy that it is by most now.
