fluff: Ted Cruz has grown a beard

I do think the beard helps disguise his rather creepy face.

I like beards on some men (DH in particular looks very nice with a neatly trimmed beard), but that “beard” on Cruz? No. Just no.

My reason for poking some fun is that this is clearly part of Cruz's attempt at re-branding. He and the Texas GOP are running scared, and there's been a lot of talk among them about needing to be perceived differently if they don't want to suffer more losses in 2020. So Cruz will still be pushing the same anti-woman, anti-immigrant, pro-guns-for-everyone policies. He'll still be trying to take Healthcare from poor people while voting more tax cuts for the rich. He'll be supporting fewer environmental protections and more detention of asylum seekers.

But he's hoping the beard will fool people into thinking he's a nice guy.

That deserves a bit of mockery IMO.

I don't care what he looks like. Still doesn't change the fact that he's a morally bankrupt, soulless ghoul.

I'm confused. The article, which is titled "Ted Cruz's new beard looks great" says:

But then the photo of this supposedly great beard, with the caption "A marked improvement", shows Cruz with a shadowy patchy mess that crept down his throat while wholly avoiding his chin.......
