Lotz noted that she was born not only in the same year, but one week to the day of Israel’s establishment in May 1948. “Could it be that God has given me a message for her that I am living out in my own experience?” she wondered. “Just as my cancer is a potentially fatal disease, is Israel also in danger of being attacked in a potentially fatal way? Just as my cancer struck suddenly and unexpectedly through no fault of my own, will Israel also be struck by her enemies suddenly and unexpectedly through no fault of her own?” She continued: “Just as I have not been immediately and quickly delivered from cancer, will Israel also not be quickly delivered from her enemies as she was in the 1967 war? Just as I am having to fight the cancer with chemotherapy cell by cell, will Israel also have to fight her enemies region by region, village by village, street by street, house by house?” I guess whatever helps her keep up the fight against her cancer. But what a warped way to see the world.

UGH!! I know a few people who think like her. I am sure, because she thinks so highly of herself, she had to come up with a reason why God "allowed" her to have Cancer. It probably helps her cope with what is going on with her.

I think that we sometimes overuse the word narcissist in our society, but in this case, it's completely fitting. What the actual hell? Someone should tell this genius that every one of us was born when SOMETHING happened in history. Doesn't mean it has anything to do with us. Goodness.

UGH!! I know a few people who think like her. I am sure, because she thinks so highly of herself, she had to come up with a reason why God "allowed" her to have Cancer. It probably helps her cope with what is going on with her. Exactly that. She couldn't be just another human subject to the same physics, chemistry and biology as the rest of the human race who is diagnosed with cancer (and some other mammals as well). Nope. It must be a sign that her god gave her - something special and touched by what she has determined is divine. |

She is special. Favored. Like Israel. And no, I don’t feel the least regret for criticizing a woman who has cancer. She’s the one who is publicly interpreting her disease as an international political warning. I hope she recovers, but I can also think she is a sham. |

And here I thought that my cancer was just bad luck. You know, with the odds being 1 in 8 women developing breast cancer in their lifetimes.
You would think that G-d would pick a more unique sign than cancer, and something that actually was connected to Israel in some way.
