As I have posted before, our family has a pretty weird and warped sense of humor. The kids and I are trying to come up with a joke for DH that will top the one we pulled last Christmas.
DH's favorite flavor of pop tarts is the frosted vanilla cream. It's a chocolate pop tart with vanilla filling and vanilla frosting. They are not always in production and it is very rare to find a box.
Last December we found them at Kroger and bought 5 boxes. The kids and I then carefully opened the boxes and took out the foil packs and then put different Christmas gifts for DH in the boxes and then wrapped the boxes, sometimes disguising them by putting them in bigger, heavier boxes.
So Christmas morning DH opens DD's gift and gets all excited thinking she got him pop tarts. Nope. So then he moves to DS's gift. More pop tarts! Yeah! No!
This went on throughout the gift opening with DH about losing his mind wanting his damn pop tarts. LOL We told him we ate them all and he was about to (jokingly) go off the deep end.
We finally gave him a huge, heavy Amazon box that had all the foil packets of his favorite pop tarts. It was hysterical to watch him go through all of that and we had so much fun laughing together.
Now we are trying to come up with a Christmas joke/prank/funny to play on DH this year. Again, we are just a little offbeat so we do April Fools a few months early (or really, really late).
Any ideas from the Peas?

My sister is the queen of giving out lottery scratchers. This year I'm doing this to her.

Our Christmas pranks have always been of the really lame variety. DH used to shake all the gifts and try to guess what was inside, so I would try to disguise what was in the packages by putting other noisy things in the boxes with clothes, such as jingle bells, an envelope full of popcorn kernels, a small dollar store jigsaw puzzle in a box, a pop can with some coins in it. Sometimes I would put a stack of heavy text books inside a big box to disguise the fact that it was a smaller gift like a pair of jeans or a sweater or shirt.

Turn it around this year... get boxes for expensive gifts he might like or expect (iPhone, apple watch, electronics, etc) and put the foil packets of Pop-tarts in them!

This prank was played at our office white elephant gift exchange and everyone found it funny.

This prank was played at our office white elephant gift exchange and everyone found it funny. Love this! DD wants to do this but change it and wrap up some Keurig pods and say "coffeemaker not included ". (One of his gifts is a new coffeemaker.) DS wants to take the coffeemaker out of the box and fill it with pop tarts (box weighted down to coffeemaker weight, of course). We may do both.
