Can someone please remind me I have zipped some into the storage bag with my wedding dress?
Last year I didn't find some of my dd's things until I'd pulled my whole closet apart. Surely I'm not the only one who does this!?

I do it every year, and usually by March or so I find them. The family always laughs and laughs at me. BUT this year since two of our daughters have moved out, I took over one of the closets. I have used it as my Christmas closet. No one is allowed in it, and all presents have been in there. It has been AWESOME! This will be my no MO so I pray I no longer forget gifts or lose them. LOL!

I lose gifts all the time, too. And, I'm not even sure of everything I ordered online, so I won't know if everything has arrived or not. I'm am so disorganized!

I used to hide all of mine inside our suitcases, plus then it was easy to bring them to the tree. This year though I decided the kids were old enough (19 & 23) for me to just put them right under the tree after wrapping

I feel like a dang squirrel. I have so much stuff hidden in various little places and then when I'm ready to wrap I have to scurry around looking for the stuff that I swore I'd remember where it was.

I use suitcases too, the top shelf of a lockable wardrobe and a drawer in my expedia unit. I use the same three places every year so it reduces the frantic hair pulling.
If I really really want to hide something, I put it at the bottom of my yarn storage, no one ever looks there!

When my kids were young I used to hide thing in the crawl space above my garage or locked in an old foot locker. Now things are just in my bedroom closet until they are wrapped then they go under the tree.

My kids are out of the house now, so everything is on the dining room table. I kinda wrapped as I bought this year, so almost all is under the tree already. First year I've ever been this organized.

When I was little, my Mum bought me a troll (when they were in fashion the first time around!) for Christmas. She forgot all about it until Christmas morning when my father unwrapped his Christmas jumper and a small package rolled out of the sleeve. He wonderingly unwrapped that as well and as soon as it was revealed, my Mum gave an exclamation, grabbed it from his hand and gave it to me, all embarrassed. I remember that so clearly.
Yes, I have hidden Christmas presents before which have had to become birthday presents the following year!

I would assume that one would find a great spot and use it year after year. We hide things in the trailer in the garage. There is a little half door that opens up. The kids have NEVER found them.

Can't use the suitcases as the kids sometimes 'play holiday'. I'll just have to continue being a sqirrel with little stashes everywhere!

Maybe we could use this thread as a thread for everyone who has hidden presents. Then you can refer back to this thread when you forget where you hid stuff.

I hid a Twilight calendar years ago and still haven't found it, now I hide everything under the bed so I don't lose track.

Last year I discovered the BEST hiding spot!!
My commercial cake studio is in my basement, and as part of the building of the room, we finished the bathroom right beside it. Nobody ever uses it except me when I'm working, or DH in the mornings to "read his paper" LOL.
It has a full tub/shower - and I've discovered I can keep all my purchases in there, with the curtain drawn closed and NOBODY has discovered it!!
So no more forgetting where I put them!
But I will check back to remind you LOL.

All of mine are in totes in the corner of our bedroom. The kids do well with not peeking. My husband does not, so his are in my office. I have a list on my phone so I don't forget anything. LOL

DH does this every year, even though neither DS or I look. In fact, most of our gifts are sitting out in the open in the boxes in which they were delivered. There’s a pile for DS, a pile for DH, a pile for his parents. Mine? Who knows.

I would laugh except I walked into my closet last night to find a hoodie I had forgotten to wrap. And it's the item I'm most excited to give my DD. Argh! At least I discovered it before Christmas.

I keep a spreadsheet of where I hide everything. My kids are too young to use a computer so it works.

We use a couple of large boxes on a shelf in the storage area of our basement. They were originally packaging from ceiling fans, I think. They stay there all year long and don't stand out amongst all the other clutter on the shelves.
When we had a few larger items, they were hidden in the boat in the garage. It doesn't get any attention in December.
