I’m feeling very organized this year! I have a few gifts left to wrap, some food prep for Christmas Eve...just appetizers, dips, veggies, etc.. Christmas dinner is at my mom’s and I’m cooking a ham and some easy crock-pot mac n’ cheese. DS1 and his girlfriend arrived last night so this momma is happy! 😊

I'm just waiting for one present for DD12 that will arrive on Christmas Eve. Picked up a target GC for her for a stocking stuffer this morning. Everything else is wrapped.
We are having a low key Christmas Day - just one friend over and we'll be making Lasagna Soup with homemade rosemary bread, caesar salad with homemade dressing, tortellini poppers appetizer and homemade peppermint ice cream. I did the shopping this morning so we're all set. Hoping to avoid stores until after Christmas.

I've yet to bake Christmas cookies (that's on today's to do list) Tomorrow I have to go grocery shopping (it's snowy today so waiting for warmer tomorrow lol) Have to buy the rest of the goodie bag items for my Nieces and Nephew (they are getting a laundry basket full of goodies this year) Plus I still need ingredients for Christmas dinner and to make some baked goods for the goodie boxes. Then I need stocking stuffers for SO. Monday we're doing Christmas with my Sister and her kids.

We are wrapping presents tomorrow. I'm giving the girls their dad's and mine to wrap, and DH and I will wrap theirs. I just haven't had time! Then a quick house clean. The youngest and I may do a little baking later. I already placed my grocery order for curbside pickup on Monday.

A lot but I’m not stressed. I have a cozy Christmas with my family and they don’t judge so it will be ok.

I have to make cookies still.
Will fill stockings when I put gifts under tree.
I'm pretty ready.
I'm keeping it very low key this year. My goal is no stress.

Wrap. Maybe another batch of saltine cracker crack. Then it's cozy up by the tree and watch Christmas movies!

Well I *thought* I was in pretty good shape aside from finishing wrapping the kids gifts (Santa wraps at our house) and picking up some last minute groceries. But as I was wrapping dh's gifts today I realized that I got him no where near the gifts I know he got me. He makes things damn complicated in that he didn't ask for much (I got him most of what he did ask for), he's bought himself several things in the past month including an iPad, some movies, books, iTunes card, etc and he got me way more than he should have. I didn't intend/expect him to get everything on my list and he didn't listen when I said I wanted the cheaper option, he got me the more expensive one, SMH. Soooo I'll probably go shopping tonight to at least close the gap a little bit. Ugh.

Going to Costco - pray for me! Thoughts and prayers heading your way. I went early yesterday thinking I'd be ahead of the insanity. The parking lot was chaos, but the experience surprisingly civil once in the store with a quick checkout. DH & DS just went out shopping so I'm going to wrap. That way if I run out of paper I can text him to pick up more. I have a few more cookies to bake and a couple gifts to deliver.

Have to get some gift cards for yds's gf. I bought her some stuff from Lush and BBW, exploding kittens (she mentioned how much she enjoys playing) but I want to get her a gift card or two, as well. Also, need to wrap presents and do my baking for neighbors and friends. Baking might not happen and that's a bummer. We shall see.
If I don't get everything done perfectly no one will mind. We are a casual family and as long as we're together the rest is the small stuff.

after a super-productive morning? not a whole lot left thank goodness. I sewed the last two sewing projects and baked all the things (well except for the mince pies because my pie crusts are still defrosting some wrapping and I need to pick up some stocking stuffers and my house needs some TLC.

All of my must-dos are done or underway.
-Finish washing sheets on guest beds for adult kids who want to spend the night on Christmas Eve. -Make some cookies for DH -Finish wrapping-probably have 75% done -Take a few 'around the house' photos for my December Daily -Make tags for the stockings and fill them. We tore out our fireplace this summer so I need a new stocking plan. I'm going to go with filling them early and just laying them on the couch for Christmas morning. I'll come up with some innovate and cute next year!

I've done nothing this year and there's still time for me to do more of that! You are awesome. Just keep on doing what you do! I will live vicariously through your do-nothingness! I am done sewing. Made two pairs of adult pj pants, one kid set of pjs (top and pants), one baby blanket for my nephew’s new baby, a dog sweater for my sister’s dog and one big fleece/minky self bound blanket for DD (note to self, if I EVER make another blanket like that it will NOT be made out of such slippery fabric!). Took the dog to the groomer which was a month (at least) overdue. Went to the grocery store and was surprised that it wasn’t as awful as I’d imagined it would be. Shoutout to HyVee for being a well oiled machine! Bought all the stuff we need to bring to our friend’s house on Tuesday (stuff for antipasto salad, and Italian bread) where we were invited at the last minute, and the stuff to make funeral sandwiches for us for dinner on Monday. Got the absolute last thing I’m buying DD (a wooden recorder) yesterday, and a couple sets of cookie cutters for BFF at Home Goods. I think I’m done shopping, unless we decide to give our friends something other than a monster bag of Ghirardelli chocolate squares as a hostess gift. Very few of the presents are wrapped, but I did wrap up all the Disney stuff and put it all inside a huge box with five helium balloons tied to a “We’re Going on a Disney Cruise!” booklet I printed out from the Disney.go website and wrapped that up too. I knew I wouldn’t be able to get the balloons into the house unnoticed after DD was off school, so I did that the other day. I’ll probably wrap tomorrow. Need to dig out the stockings and stocking holders from the closet and put those up by the fireplace. Other than those things, I don’t know what else I’m still going to need to do. I slept like crap last night though so I’m tired and probably not thinking all that straight, LOL. I still need to make a pie and one more batch of cookies for the 29th, but I can do that after Christmas.

I almost believe in Santa again!!! That’s cool! I was so surprised when the groomer said she still had openings today when I called earlier this week. I was really happy to be able to get my shaggy poodle a haircut before Christmas!
