Hi ladies!!
It was so fun running into a pea today! stumpedagainof3 thank you again for stopping me and saying hi! It was awesome to meet you and chat for a few! I'll be sure to look for you at our outings in the future!
And I forgot to mention in the other thread, my initial reaction was simply shock! I haven't posted anything since Sept of last year and haven't posted regularly in several years! Then my mind started going through pea games trying to figure out if I remembered/knew her... unfortunately, I didn't. But she was super sweet and was fun to learn that our kids are in similar sports so we should bump into each other more now that I know!!
So an update...
Things are going great here! I feel like I'm a pretty positive person overall, and while things are great, it's been a rough year here. Twin#1 broke an ankle in February, oh you know, less than a month after we paid a good chunk of money for her to travel to Costa Rica in the summer to play soccer. Her recovery was long and she was able to make the trip, but she couldn't partake in beach soccer.
Same daughter in June started having these bouts of dizziness, which came with headache, half stuffed sinuses, semi- hurting ear. Dr said it was allergies and gave her meds to take. It took 10 days for it to clear up. It happened again in October and again in November. We were referred to ENT, who told us it wasn't anything ENT related... but she had all the classic signs of migraines. She had her worst one yet over Thanksgiving. It lasted 14 or 15 days. We've been referred to pediatric neurology, which she'll see in Jan.
Twin#2 Sprained a wrist in gym in October. She barely recovered with that and pulled a hamstring. She's missed 7 weeks of soccer/futsal and had now played 2 or 3 games. Her hamstring has been ok but because of the injured hamstring, she's been dealing with some sort of hip issue. Chiropractor pinpointed the muscle and has her working on it but it's slow going.
During the summer, I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my knees and so it's been difficult. Being forced to slow down is hard to swallow. But I can't do much to change it, so I'm trying to just do what I can and give myself a break.
The girls are in 8th grade and are in all honors classes and doing wonderfully. They play soccer year round right now but that may change next year when they get to high school. They're kind of up in the air with what they want to do.
Ds is going to be 16 in May so he's recently started driving with dh. Scares me more than I care to admit. For those of you that don't remember, ds is on the autism spectrum. He's in 10th grade and the transition to high school last year went beautifully. He no longer needs any para support and is in all grade level classes and is even taking an honors science class. He's extremely responsible, has good grades, got a seasonal job last winter, and plays 3 sports. He amazes me daily with how he's pushed so much out of his comfort zone. Everyone on his school team said that they think college will not be an issue for him at all.
Dh and I will celebrate 20 years married in June. We're great as always!! I feel like we get better together after each passing year.
Anyway, that's about it... I'll try to get an uploaded pic of the kids on here.
Everyone was so kind in the other thread... really made my day. ❤
