Have you given any thought to goals for the new year? Get back into scrapping if you haven't scrapped in a while? Finish more layouts? Scrap a certain time period such as your childhood? Try story based layouts rather than events or vice versa? Try something new as in PL, TN, month in review, etc? Try mixed media? Less shopping? More shopping? Shop for specific supplies? Get more organized? Schedule time to scrap? Take more pictures? Get caught up? Print more pictures? Use unloved supplies? Try some challenges? Go to a crop? Take a class? Make better use of your die cutting machines?
Feel free to add to this list and post your 2019 goals here.
I need to add more embellishments and less paper to my stash. I do not need more paper. But I love paper and can't pass up a good deal. I would also like to take more pictures and use my Cameo more often. And maybe I'll try to jump in on a challenge or two this year. Also high on my list would be story based layouts. I have a list of stories I want to tell and I need to look for pictures that would help tell the story. I also have a Disney trip to scrap. I'm very much looking forward to scrapping that and reliving those fun memories. It was a great trip.

I've got to get back to scrapping. I just ordered 400 photos thinking that will help me get my mojo back! And I signed up for one weekend retreat and will attend at least two different Scrapbook Expo crops this year.
In order to do this I will need to do some page planning and kit building. Then I should have no more excuses!

I’ve been away from actual scrapbooking for many, many years. I have lots of supplies but feel far too intimidated to start scrapping 12 x 12 or 8 x 10 at this point in my life
I have been reading a lot about travelers notebook’s. I joined a Facebook group about TNs. I think this would be a small, flexible system to get back into at least scrapping some of my more current pictures that are on my phone or computer and have never been printed.
I am looking forward to trying a new format.

Great thread!
I am going to retire in June 2019 and my first retirement project will be to tackle my unwieldy out of control stash. Now I may not start it right away and I may not finish it in 2019, but I will take it on.
My first grandchild will be born in the first weeks of January and I want to keep up with her scrapbooks. I am only scrapping for her, not for myself, so as I finish an album it will go to her house.
Lastly, I started my wedding album redo this year and I need to finish it. I started my Arizona years and I need to finish. And I need to complete the Colonial history books. So I have a goal to finish any of these projects. Not all will be finished because there is only so much time, but at least one of them.

Awesome thread! My first quarter goals will be to finish the gaps in 2016, 2017, 2018 project Life, December Daily 2018, Christmas albums for 2011, 2012, and my childhood pics. That might be enough 😂 I plan to do weekly project Life for 2019 but I’m going back to 12x12 instead of 9x12 as I’ve found myself taking on extra projects like travelers notebooks and such to fit everything in. I’m going to learn to not jump on too many projects as I think one finished yearly album will be better than the piles of unfinished ones I currently have! To mix up weekly project Life I will chuck a few full page and smaller page stories in here and there.

Scrappy goals for 2019
*Less buying! *purge, purge, and purge some more *order prints regularly so I always have something fun to scrap *Reorganize my scrap room. 2012 was the last deep clean and reorganization I did. *Grow my YouTube channel!!! I really want to do that one.

I am happy with how things are going with scrapping right now, so I will attempt to continue doing the things I am doing. I mainly scrap my dgk's lives, mostly based on pic's I take on the times I spend with them &/or the pic's I am sent from them or their parents. I love the opportunity to relive all the fun. I love playing along with the monthly challenges here b/c they provide endless inspiration for both creativity and stash busting.
I shoot for an average of a LO a day for the year (or 365 pages in total). Some days when time and mojo coalesce, I will get several pages done. Other days at a stretch I will be busy, or lack ideas or products, so nothing scrappy will be accomplished. Won't quite reach the target this year, but that's okay: I got close.
My goal is always to find ways to use what I have, so I am hoping to ***use more of the mixed media I picked up in 2018 ***make better use of my Minc and my Silhouette ***find something to do with my huge collection of ribbons & twine, washi tape, and brads/eyelets. Not as many buttons, but I need to remember to use some of them, too.
Happy scrappin', everyone!

My biggest goal is to get a little more caught up--I like to be only 3-6 months behind, but right now I'm 11 months & 3 weeks behind! I have a couple of short months coming up, but then that's followed by lots of baseball.
My other goal is to deal with my pattern paper. I've always stored my SC kit papers by kit, but now that there's no more SB kit I might as well reorganize.
That leads to another goal, finding a new source for 12x12 papers.

Reading everyone’s plan is so motivating!
My goals are simple next year because I have a baby due in June so I want to get these things done before then. I guess I am in nesting mode lol.
-Finish first child’s baby book/scrapbook. I mapped the rest of it out and have 15 more pages I’d like to do, so there will be 52 total.
-Get second baby book started. I’ll be able to finish some of the pregnancy pages and get some others partially done, kinda like a kit.
-Finish my older memorabilia album. I think I only have about 5-8 pages worth of stuff left to do? This is all memory stuff before marriage. Like newspaper, some tickets, stamps+some cards, some girl scout patches, that sorta thing. It’s not really a lot because if it wasn’t worth scrapping, I didn’t keep it. So it all fits in one album. Woohoo!
-Actually start a general family album. Since I’ve been playing catch-up with my old memorabilia album, I haven’t gotten that far. I don’t even have any wedding pages done. Nothing! Lol
-I’d also like to get a nicer album for the scrapbook I did as a child. This is easy, just $ and I’m picky. I need 8.5x11 and last I looked there wasn’t much to choose from?

I'd like to keep current for 2019, finish up my pages for 2018 (which is more than half complete,) and then close up some gaps in my 2017 and prior albums. I think I have back to 2013 mostly done.
If I can, I'd like to try to begin to organize the photos from my older kids' early childhood. They're a mess.

my scrapbook budget has dried up for now so I'm going to be focusing on scrapping the photos I already have printed using the stash I already have on hand. That should keep me busy all year (and then some, lol)
I know I'll need to buy the basics as I run out (adhesive, white/black cardstock (other colours only if I'm absolutely out and nothing else will work) but I'm going to try and stay frozen all year otherwise.
I do need to find my mojo though - it dried up this fall and hasn't returned yet.

I have given this a little bit of thought. In previous years my goals have been way too lofty and very few of them have been met. Since I already know that 2019 is going to be a busy year, I have to plan to keep it as simple as possible. 1. Buy less products. Use what I already have. 2. Monthly Project Life spreads. 3. Quarterly 12of12 / Day in the Life. 4. More traditional layouts. Focus on getting photos + stories documented. 5. Projects: Week in the Life, OLW (in a travelers notebook), December Daily
If I have time & space, I will also try to go back and finish off some of my unfinished projects - 2016 PL, 2018 PL, first year albums for both of my kids.

I do need to find my mojo though - it dried up this fall and hasn't returned yet. I can totally relate. My sb budget has been severely restricted for so long. About a year and a half. Pretty much just buy photo printing and and discount adhesive. Once in a blue moon dollar store or Target Dollar Spot stickers. I miss shopping and I think it limits my mojo. I've realized that one of the anxieties holding back my scrapping is that I'm worried that if I have to move, I won't be able to bring all my albums. In almost 15 years of scrapping, I've made nearly 50 albums. I know realistically that I would just make it work, but... Anyway, so one of my goals is to only scrap events on a whole page if it warrants it. Lots of pics, like Christmas? Full page. One pic for kid school thing? Pocket page. I also want to make more use of my stamps. LOL, and die cutter.

It's fun to see everyone's list. I plan to continue PL for 2019 with some traditional 12x12 pages when I feel like it, OLW, finish my PL 2018 album (I'm up to September or so), and then go back and fill in any missing gaps in 2016 & 2017. I'd also like to finally finish AE's Hybrid class. I want to take better daily notes. I'm always happier when I have them but I don't always do it. I'd also like to use my Scan & Cut & sewing machine more.

I have a laundry list of projects I want to complete in 2019, so my goal is to just get in my craft room regularly and get cracking! Also to use my stash & start/finish some of the numerous e-courses I have bought over the years.

We just moved a week ago to a new town. My craft area is currently all packed and won't get touched until after the new year. So my first goal will be setting that up so that I can play again. Then I really have to focus on using up my stash. Nothing like having to box everything up to make you realize just how much you have. I'm pretty sure I could scrap all year and only need adhesive - Who am I kidding? I could probably scrap the next five years without buying anything but adhesive!!!

Great thread! My goals for 2019 are: to shop a lot less and try to make a dent in my too large for me stash. I'm going to start with making 100 pages before I shop again. I shamelessly took this idea from christinec68 from the stop shopping thread. Finish the school books I started for my kids 10 years ago Start and finish my December album use my cricut a lot more Complete a PL for 2019. Every year I start one and abandon it by March. Try my hand at card making.

I stay current in PL but have slacked off on scrapping backwards. I don't have anything done pre-2010. I also am gaining more and more stash. I know most serious scrappers put me to shame in the stash department, but I don't like feeling of more than I can ever use. With these things in mind, by 2019 Scrappy Goals are: Continue to scrap backwards Go on a freeze and use my stash Take more pictures (I have been really slacking in this area too) Start my Christmas cards much earlier

Ooooohhhh New Year´s motivation.
2019 Crafty Goals:
12x12 PL Album --I stay up to date on this and this will be my 5th year. One 12x12 page per week and I will add an extra page (differing sizes) if we have a busy week or a vacation.
100 layouts --I mostly do 12x12 but occasionally mix it up with an 8,5x11 or other size.
Stash Challenge 2019 - only allowed to purchase cardstock (and only if I run out of a color), adhesive, and any other "necessary" items to complete layouts. If I run out of a particular item I allow myself to purchase new. I will not purchase patterned paper, PL cards, stickers, die cuts, ect.
Baby PL Book 8x8 for a friend that is having her first child
Vietnam Vacation Album - may not finalize this during 2019 but I would like to get started, edit and order photos, ect.
Card Challenge - I occasionally make cards but do not have any pre-made stash of cards. I would like to make some cards for different celebrations such as birthdays, Thank You, retirements, Mother´s Day, ect so that I have them ready to go.
Craft Room Cleaning - We moved last December and although I use the craft room some things were stored or stacked in it without much regard to organization. I would like to get it to a better state.

Before the end of this year I intend to wrap up my 2018 projects--project life, december daily & OLW, but if I don't, my first 2019 goal will be to finish those!
Longer term... I plan to make 2 12x12 project life albums for 2019, just like I've done for the past 4 years, and keep pretty current with them. I also plan to make 2-4 traditional layouts a month to justify all of my monthly kit clubs and dig into my story kits more (I put these in my PL, or in a couple of other albums for stories that are not current). I hope to complete a Week in the Life in a digital photo book and a December Daily next Christmas. I hope to get a better handle on my stash (it's not as bad as it could be, but it is slowly growing and I would prefer for it to be slowly shrinking). I hope to finish organizing and cataloging my stamp collection. I hope to fully organize my scrap room closet. I hope to finally finish my travel album from a vacation in 2015. I hope to finish my 2018 summer mini. I hope to document my OLW with the OLW journal in 2019. I hope to try out the TN size for a mini vacation album. I hope to create at least one other mini album and possibly another photo book. I hope to get a better handle on my organization of class content from my story kits. I hope to also catch up/keep current my other long term albums (I have one documenting sewing projects & one documenting our anniversary every year).
I know this is a long list, but it's the ideal right? Also, I do tend to scrapbook a lot... about 6 hours per week on average I would guess. So it's doable.

I remembered posting on a 2018 goal thread and here it is. I didn't set lofty goals because I didn't scrap much in 2017. I did scrap a lot more in 2018 and have definitely started using my scrap time as a way to destress and have some quiet time to myself rather than view it as a responsibility to be the family historian. I'm just having fun with it. I never did find that perfect desk, though. Hopefully this year I will.

In 2018 my scrappy goal was to make a page every week. I did mostly ok on that. I'd give myself an 85%. My yearly album is nearly complete, and I am happy with it overall. Although, I do need to figure out what to do for the title page.
For 2019, my goals are to purge my unneeded and excess supplies monthly, to finally make my wedding album, and to keep up to date on my 2019 album.

We're hoping to move next year so I expect a busy year life wise.
Scrappy wise: I've committed to doing most of 2018 digitally. I'll probably start 2019 the same. Digital takes me longer, but I don't have a mess to clean up and deal with either. but, a girl needs paper so...
I have so many paper kits (probably over 50) with various photos/stories from other years that I'd like to make a dent in as well.
I'll just do as much as I can, when I can and call it good.

Because I failed so miserably on my 2018 goals, my 2019 crafty goals will look very similar:
1) Make and donate 1,200 cards. 2) Find a memory keeping process that works and use it throughout the year. 3) Make time to be creative daily. Or most days. 4) Continue to get rid of crafty supplies that I won't/don't use. Organize what I keep. 5) Shop in a mindful, purposeful way, not just because I like it or think it's cute.

I love the idea of completing 100 layouts before buying more pretty things. I think I’m going to try this. I’ve cancelled my subs so that’s a start. I would like to improve my stamping skills. I have a bunch of stamps, some I’ve never opened. I’m going to stick with weekly PL in the app, monthly physical books for each of my kids and traditional layouts when I feel inspired.
