Wow. I don't think Santa has anything left after visiting your house. Tee-hee. You have a lovely tree. Christmas eve is so much fun. I miss having young children, because that always makes it super exciting.

Your tree and gifts are lovely, @stephdrebel !
Santa stopped here already. He even drank the milk and took a few bites of cookies left for him. 😀

It looks much worse than it is.. the tree shop nothing is actually under it and there are 4 dog beds, 4 toys, 4 puppy jackets, and 4 new puppy blankets that my niece insisted on wrapping for them. 😆

Not yet. Someone isn’t falling asleep so he can’t come yet. Maybe he’ll come if I just go to bed. 🤣

The stockings have been filled and everyone’s heading for bed. Of course DS (21) probably won’t go to sleep until 4 am as he’s such a night owl, but I’m on my way.

Ha My sons are obnoxious and gift each other things like a box of pop tarts and twinkies. They started it when they were young because they never got junk food that wasn't for sharing. This is the 13 th or 14th year we've had pop tarts and twinkies wrapped with a bow under the tree.

Woot, yes, my boys left tonight around 9 and Santa miraculously came by shortly after they left. My youngest knows Santa should land around 1:30 am and told me he'd text to make sure the gifts got inside.

For the first time ever in my life there is nothing to unwrap Christmas morning. My husband and son are traveling. My daughter really wanted a macbook and that's all that we could afford. So yeah, one present under the tree and she unwrapped it in front of everyone before they left. Everyone else gave gift cards or money earlier in the day at an extended family get together. Son is getting his present during the trip.

Nope. My 8yo took a nap this afternoon and now won’t go to sleep. I’m going to have to go to bed, set a freaking alarm (a quiet one, like having my phone on vibrate because she’s probably in my bed, ugh) and get up again in a few hours to pull all the special Santa wrapped stuff out of hiding. And the worst part is that once DH is asleep, he’s down for the count and I’ll be doing Santa duty on my own. Oye. I’m too old for this crap. ETA: She WAS in my bed! I ended up having to go to bed and get back up again at 1:45 am, and when I was halfway done bringing everything upstairs from the hiding places in the basement I could hear her coughing up on the second floor. I had to quickly get the rest of the stuff brought up and get back up into my bed before she totally woke up and realized I wasn’t in there next to her anymore. About a half hour later, I ended up sleeping in her bed (by myself! Ahhhh!!!!) because she was budging me out of my spot. It was all good and she was none the wiser, but man. I about had a coronary when I heard her coughing. Let’s just say 7:30 am came way too early today! 😴

Still waiting for someone to fall asleep.......... I'm afraid that I won't wake up since I'm so tired.

All the gifts, except the ones DH was responsible for, were under/around the tree by 8. The Boy is old enough that secrecy is no longer necessary.

Yup! Started his delivery at 7:30pm and finished up around 9pm.
I put the two dogs, dh, and ds' stocking stuffers in their stockings while dd was downstairs playing a Wii U game. At about 8:10 she went to bed and I began to bring gifts down from our closet. Dh finished with the heavy gifts and then brought in his new saw from the garage. Its up against the hutch and I had to wrap the sides, top, and front.
Dh is currently building ds' new basketball set.

We celebrate on Christmas Eve because of holiday visitation schedules. Here was our tree last night. All the kids had fun and I am glad to have the Christmas duties behind me. I will relax tomorrow.

Santa stopped by, even tho the girlie is still up! Son is at his house even tho daughter wanted him to stay and sleep on the couch.
Daughter gave husband an iPad tonight. We bought it from her boyfriend. I wasn’t sure that husband would like getting one so this was a good starter one for him. He almost cried.

Yes he has been and gone and our day is done!
Spent the the day with DD, SIL, his family and our three grandies. A good day had by all with lots of fun, food and goodies.
The kids loved it and certainly made the day. It is now 8.00 pm DH and I have returned home to a quiet house and are just relaxing.
It was very hot today 37c (98F) and is expected to be that and more all week so it is tiring being such weather.

Santa has been here, but we aren't opening gifts until tomorrow. Our DS and grandkids fly in tomorrow am.
It was nice not having to hide Santa gifts this year!
DD will come over this morning for caramel rolls. Thank goodness DH reminded me to make them or Christmas would have been ruined according to DD, LOL.

Poor old Santa won't get to fully rest this year until he visits our house this coming Saturday night. With two sons in the military, we joke that we celebrate holidays 'when the US Navy tells us we can.' Lol.
So Saturday night will be our Christmas eve and Sunday our Christmas morning. But by scheduling it then, we get everybody here - all four sons, the new wife, the new fiance, and the 'serious' girlfriend. Plus one son's friend that's like family. If I can get them all at one time... I'll take it anytime I can get it. Santa will just have to make an exception for us.

Santa’s been here, stockings emptied and partially consumed, presents opened and breakfast sausage casserole eaten. It is 8:20 a.m. and Dh just went back to bed. Even though my kids are teens, Christmas still starts way too early here.
