Those who took the few photos of me that are in my albums, took even a little care in composing the photos I'm in.
My first husband was especially bad at this. And funny thing is, he is a good photographer. But for whatever reason, if we were on a trip and had an opportunity to take a pic of me, he'd point the camera vaguely in my direction and snap once.
He even joked once and said something to the point of, "Wow, I always look great in these pics!"
Then he looked at the one of me in front of the same statue. "Why didn't you look at the camera and smile?"
And I told him how in the first six pics of him, he hadn't either, but I made sure to get a good one of him.
And now that I've been single for more than half a decade, all my pics are either selfies, Can pics using the self timer, or taken by my kids, who also don't make much of an effort to make me look good in pics.
What would make you like your scrapbooks more? 😀

I would like my scrapbooks more if my completed layouts photographed themselves and then jumped into page protectors.

... if I were a better photographer. I hardly ever like my pictures and wish I had invested in a good camera when my kids were little.

Those who took the few photos of me that are in my albums, took even a little care in composing the photos I'm in I could have written this! Seriously, photos including me are often blurry or mid talk. He doesn't even say, "OK, I'm taking the picture now..." to warn people to at least compose themselves! Or he uses digital zoom on the iphone rather than walk closer, so it's low quality. I've been super upset (inside) at some special occasions that I can't recreate... My SIL does scrapbook, and she certainly tries to get good photos including me, so I'm a little covered there. And I've let DH know how I feel and tried to give him pointers. I would like my scrapbooks more if my completed layouts photographed themselves and then jumped into page protectors.

My kids are better at taking pictures than DH, so I usually hand off the camera to one of them.
I'd like my scrapbooks better if I had a lot more pages in them. I am so far behind.

I wish the people in my pictures wore clothes that matched all that pretty paper I have. Oh, well. I gave up trying to coordinate pictures and paper years ago. Now I just use what I like.

I'd like my scrapbooks more if they didn't take up so much space.
My family is clueless about ever taking a photo with me in it.

I'd like my scrapbooks more if I had a better shelving system for storing them--where they were easy to reach, stay standing up straight, etc.
Also, if more page protectors could add "automatically", instead of having to take apart everything in the old books with posts, adding pages and those cardboard spaces, trying to expant the posts, needing to try to get all those page holes realigned, and the whole thing put back together again. I don't use that style any more but keep making pages to add to these older books.

I am so sorry that you have to deal with this.

I would like my scrapbooks more if they were all displayed in an easily accessible place with a comfy chair nearby so I can pull them off the shelf at will, look at them and put them back on the shelf.
My albums are on several different shelves in different rooms, under tables and those in progress are stacked next to my bed. I would love to have a wall to wall book shelf in my living room with every album on there.
Oh how I would love to sit by my beautiful tree and look at those albums.

… if I had the time to go through all of them and find the layouts which have letters or other bits and bobs that have fallen off when I was putting them in and fix them! ( I have a little bowl of all these bits and pieces- I know which layouts they are from but " I think grandson was 2.. or was it 3? or is it a family album?) I would like to make a master list of which layouts are where. I just spent 30 minutes looking through several scrapbooks to find 4 pictures of grandson with planes for a facebook post. My albums are done by category mostly - family 2000-2002 but a list would help me find layouts quickly. I often want an old picture for happy birthday greetings on Facebook and just cant always remember how old kids were for certain layouts! And yes- better photos of myself! Cropping helps but it would be nice to have photos where I look half decent. Corinne

I would like my older books better if I had had the skills and tools to edit my photos back then. The photos are all so dark compared to what I can do with a few taps right on my phone now. Oh well, I am sure folks with albums full of polaroids feel the same when comparing them to conventional film and then digital. Just happy to have all of the memories in the end.

If they were organized and labeled. I primarily scrap at crops and not in order. I bring an empty album and scrap what I feel like. Then come home and put that album on a shelf, so they are all a mishmash of events, times, etc.
