We just finished episode 1 of season 2. Now we've seen Happy Valley, Luther, Marcella, The Five and Safe. I love Netflix and all the British dramas!

After watching all of those, I've moved onto Australian dramas and recommend Wanted and Secret City.

I don't think it's on Netflix (Wikipedia says it's was on in the United States on PBS Masterpiece) but look out for "Mrs Wilson" a BBC drama. Only 3 parts...we just watched it over Christmas and enjoyed it The actress in the lead role plays the part of her real life grandmother and it is based on the true story of her family.

We have watched this, and thoroughly enjoyed it, and most of the others listed above and will add to the list Shetland, Hinterland, and Vera.
I love British shows and can't wait for the next series to come on whatever it is!

We have Mrs Wilson lined up on the iPlayer to watch, now that we are done with Little Drummer Girl (also excellent!). It's funny - last night DH commented on the fact that the lead actress had the surname Wilson, so interesting to find out there is a connection and not just a random coincidence. And for all the Luther fans out there - there is a new series starting on the BBC soon, so BOLO!

There's a really interesting article about this 3 part drama here

It gives absultely everything away and I would have been really pissed off to read that first. This isn't a well known story so most people won't know what happens. Part of the enjoyment of the series is the multiple surprises and not knowing what happens next. if you read the article there's no point in watching the series

The article covers far more of the history and past of Alec Wilson than what was in the drama.

The article covers far more of the history and past of Alec Wilson than what was in the drama. And as a result of that - spoils it totally. the series was very easy to follow, you don't need any help to understand it...it's pretty easy to look up more information at the end if you want to know more of the minor details.

Based on the recommendations of The Bodyguard I went to Netflix to start watching it. Only to realize I have already seen it and I really enjoyed it. Jen
