African peanut stewThis is one of my favorite recipes! I’ve served it to mani omnis, including children, and everyone has loved it. On the clean food dirty girl website you can find many great recipes. A few of my other favorites are the potato chowder and the eggless eggsalad. And the potato salad🤤 I just wanted to thank you, Lindarina, for posting this link. I had been reading this thread with growing interest in early January, but not really believing it was a change I could make. I went to the CFDG website and Facebook group and lurked for a bit and then jumped in with her sample weekly menu plan. I’ve been eating WFPBNO for three weeks now and I really can’t believe how easy and delicious it’s been since I use the CFDG weekly plans. Im not saying that I’ll never have meat or cheese again, but I have cut it out of my regular, daily diet and I’m really excited about it!

I committed to eating this way through the month of January, but like it so much, I see no reason to stop now. I've lost 8 lbs and I feel great. My family is coming around. I'm using the Forks Over Knives meal planner, which I like because I can swap in whatever meals I want from their database if anything they're suggesting doesn't suit us, then enter how many portions I want to make, and it will spit out a shopping list and weekend prep directions. I'll have to check out the CFDG one too. Like you, I've cut animal products out of my regular, daily diet. That's not to say I haven't had any or won't have any - they're just truly once in a while foods and not something I eat frequently.

That’s great, Merge! My husband eats what I make willingly enough, but doesn’t love everything. My son tries a bite and then politely declines and makes his own dinner. I very rarely cooked red meat and would cook a few vegetarian meals a week, but I managed to find a way to add cheese to every single meal. It’s been so much easier to change than I thought it would be. I’ve lost a few pounds, have felt great during all my workouts and I think most importantly, my body is sending me hunger cues that make sense to me now. I can’t really explain it, but when I get hungry, it’s like a good hungry that I can live with for a bit unlike before when I wasn’t get those messages until I was ravenous and needed to eat everything in sight. It seems to be working for me in ways that all my other attempts to overhaul my diet never did.

Keep making delicious food and your family will come around. Mine did 😊
