I live in the St. Louis metro area, west of STL actually, where the snow amount is expected to be over a foot.
We NEVER get snow like that here. I hate winter, but thankfully, I have enough "supplies" to hunker down and stay home for a few days. (Plenty of wine, a couple of crochet projects I am working on, lots to read)
I have about 2 inches of snow at my house already, and it's not supposed to stop snowing until Sunday morning.

I hit up Publix, Micheal’s and the library yesterday. And as my user name indicates, I have plenty of wine!

ME! Im watching it come down out my office (I work from home) window while i work. I hate snow. I hate feeling confined, but it is pretty when it falls Already our street is covered, my truck has about an inch it looks like. The grass is almost gone. Luckily I went to the store yesterday. I have been training for a new job and I didn't even pay attention to the forecast. I walked in and they were clearing shelves so I asked one of the employees why. Yeah well....again been a long week lol. Good thing I stopped in last night. I don't think Im going anywhere in the next few days

We are in the DC area and DD is supposed to fly back to college Sunday morning. Ugh. I'm just hoping we are on the light side of things, but I'm expecting some delays. I'm not sure how she will get back to school if she is delayed. She's supposed to ride back with friends, but they won't want to wait around forever. Her school is an hour and a half from the airport, so Uber would cost an arm and a leg. My parents are there, but dad just had surgery yesterday and my brother is out of town. GAH!

We are in the part of NC that is expecting ice. I'd much rather have snow, instead of waiting for the power to go out.

My Direct TV has been out for over an hour. I'm guessing it won't come back? Sucks to be stuck at home and not even able to watch tv.

Up to 10 inches here in Virginia.
We already had 13 inches in December after they had basically called for a dusting so....

It was supposed to snow here for 12 straight hours. There is more grass than snow. The roads are dampish. Big fail here.

We're on the northern edge of the storm that's hitting St Louis hard--no snow yet, but they are saying up to 6 inches. We haven't had real snow yet (just a few dustings) so I'm glad it's hitting on a Friday night/Saturday morning. Hopefully it's enough for the boys to go sledding tomorrow.

I'm in the KC metro area, and I am rationing the wine so it lasts through the weekend lol. It's been raining here all day and turned to snow in the last hour. We are expecting 3-6 inches. It's been more like a normal winter here than the last 3 that I've been here. I love being snowed in.

I think we are going to be in the DC snow hole. I bet we get a couple three inches and that’s it and around us there will be more snow.

We are only supposed to have maybe 1-3 inches. My husband is in the hospital; the last time he was in we got a major snow dump. Luckily we have a family member who clears the driveway for us and we only live a few minutes from the hospital so I can get back and forth on main streets which get cleared fairly well.

They were even talking about us on the weather channel, so I'm sure that will really ensure it will be a big bust. LOL
We don't typically get that much snow all at once here, so if we do, it will be a big deal for us. I don't mind being snowed in as long as I am prepared. I do not like going out in the snow, so thankfully, it is the weekend when I don't have to.

I am in NC where we are supposed to get ice. I don't want any of it. After the last storm where we got 14" in December, I don't care if I ever see snow or winter weather again in my lifetime. I am ready for Spring! Stay safe everyone!

I hope she makes it back ok! That is the worst. Thankfully, my daughter is already back at school, but two years ago, when my son was driving back to school in Colorado, an ice storm hit the day he needed to leave. I was a wreck that whole day!

I have to share my worst ever driving in ice story. LOL
Two years ago, my son had recently moved to CO for school. He hadn't had his license very long, so at Christmas time, I flew to Denver so I could drive him back because he was nervous driving so far by himself. He picked me up at the Denver airport at about 7 PM, and we headed for home. We stopped in the middle of KS at about 1 am at a hotel for just a few hours to sleep because an ice storm was expected in MO the next day. We were on target to get home before it hit, but came sooner than expected. It took us 12 hours to drive 90 miles. OMG, it sucked so much, I was traumatized. LOL I don't think I will ever willingly drive in bad weather ever again.
I hope everyone stays safe this weekend!

Patter, I feel you on the being ready for spring thing. LOL I am ready for spring after our first cold snap. LOL
I despise winter! The only time I like snow storms is when it snows so much that I get a free day off work. So a snowstorm on a weekend feels like a big waste.

I think we are going to be in the DC snow hole. I bet we get a couple three inches and that’s it and around us there will be more snow. That happens to us a lot! They will predict a HUGE snowstorm, schools will close ahead of time, just in case, then everyone north of us, or south of us, or whatever, will get dumped on, and we will get an inch or less. LOL

I’m in coastal NC right now and flying back to Nebraska early in the morning. I think I’m going to beat it to NE by the skin of my teeth. My flight lands just before noon.

I’m on the other side of the river as you, Just T. I’m so hoping our snowfall totals are lower than predicted. I don’t want 8-12 inches of snow to deal with. I just had abdominal surgery, and DH has a bad back from his military service. So we’re feeling a little hobbled here. I plan to deal with it like I did when I lived in Spokane, shovel every couple of hours. Snow was a lot more fun as a kid growing up in Michigan. Adulting with snow? Not so much.

I'm across the river from STL in the metro east. My normal 25 minute drive home took an hour and 10 minutes, the last mile took 25 minutes. There's a huge hill past our subdivision and I think there was bus having trouble getting up it.
I'm ok being snowed in for the weekend, I've got lots of yarn and scrapbooking supplies.

we're in Southern MD and are supposed to get 4-7" but they are already cancelling activities. UGH I'm so jealous! I am from Bowie, MD and my parents are still there and my brother is in Calvert County. Ever since I've been in Pittsburgh, my parents get more snow than we do! We do get the inch here and there, and it doesn't melt, so it adds up. But we don't often get the 5 or more inches!
Now I am the one that wants summer all year, and can't stand fall and winter. But I love the snow for the first day, then want it to melt! Haha!

Another North Carolinian expecting about 1/4 inch of ice and maybe an inch or two of snow. After a foot of snow in a very cold December, we've already had more winter than we are used to. Fortunately it is supposed to get above freezing Sunday so perhaps the ice won't stay around.

We have had three snowstorms that resulted in 20 inches or so. Each time the snow was gone by the second day. We do get great snowfalls, but it is gone quickly with highs of 50's the next day and sunshine. Perfect weather.
