Some days is it is get organized and put stuff away, but today? DH loaned me his Rotary tool after I asked for a metal file. I purchased a number of new dies during Black Friday sales from several companies that come stuck together with little metal tabs. You know the ones, the ones that you have to trim apart with wire cutters? (Pink & Fresh, Concord & 9th, MFT) I had a bunch and I really dislike the little pokies that are left after you trim the tabs as close as possible because they hurt when you get poked! So annoying! His rotary tool worked so well I used up one of his sanding discs. After I finished with my newest purchases I went through my stash to find the others that still had little barbs. Whew, all done! So no pages or cards for me today but my dies no longer can cause crafting injuries!

I organized photos in Lightroom. Not very exciting but it had to be done.

Since there is a foot of snow on the ground I pulled out my Mom’s heritage album. All that remains is to label pictures and do a bit of journaling. Then I realized that I had to research the people so I walked away just like I always do. I just want it done but it requires absolutely too much thought!

I did 4 layouts for the grands albums. I worked on some Christmas cards, too. I decided after I finish a layout and clean up, I'd stamp a few cards. Then next time I'll do the fronts. This way I hope to have all my cards done well before Christmas.

I stamped a prototype for the Christmas card I want to make for next year. I bought the stamp on sale after Christmas and wanted to get my idea on paper before I forget! It’s going to require some fussy cutting, so it will be perfect to do in stages as I find time throughout the year and plan for final assembly in Nov/Dec.

I worked on online photo storage yesterday, trying to figure out what system I was going to use, etc. I hate "wasting" my crafty time on that stuff! I also did some photo re-organization, and a little bit of scrapping. His rotary tool worked so well I wish I had a rotary tool to remove the barbs!

I finished my November PL pages and started on December (Didn't do DD, it will be included in my 2018 album.) My pics are printed and organized, hope to get some more of December done today. Not going to start on January 2019 until I finish 2018.

I helped my daughter with a quilt she is making for a coworker who is retiring. We had the house to ourselves and it was so good to sit,sew and chat.

Haven't done anything today, but right now on my desk are the supplies to scrap my dd's Japan trip.
Photo Play's Paper Crane collection came the other day, and it is gorgeous!! Seriously love it so much!
I have all the photos printed. I think I need to blow one up to 8x10"
I stamped and colored a koi image from a stamp I've had for years.
I gathered travel stickers, and the cherry blossom stickers I bought for the project.
I pulled out the sakura blossom paper punch I have.

I organized prints yesterday so can I actually scrap again. I have to get some online storage solution figured out. I was using Google photos, but I'm out of free space there and I don't trust the quality when I download pics from there. I'm going to have to suck it up and pay for storage, but I'm not sure where I want to do that yet. Thankfully I've always used Shutterfly since my first digital camera in the 90's and I'm still uploading there, but I want a backup to that as well.

I love reading that we've all been busy creating stuff - That's what winter days are supposed to be all about!
I was at a crop between 10 and 6 yesterday ( waving hi to @ihavetoomuchstuff ! ) Well, I didn't finish anything at all, not that that was the plan. I didn't even bring my pretty papers with me. But I batch processed around a hundred or so photos by getting them trimmed to size, edges inked, and about 80 percent of those matted. Today my plan is to go through and find sketches and papers so I can come up with plans for at least half of the pages. My room is cluttered again, but over the week I hope to be able to give it some attention so I'll actually want to use it instead of just avoiding it.

Cleaned out the recycling and garbage bag that was overflowing! I was able to document Christmas gifts in my journal finally and journaled the past week. I am caught up for the year ha! I also finished my Harry Potter theme March journal pages. Used some cute Harry Potter stamps I got for Christmas.

but I'm out of free space there and I don't trust the quality when I download pics from there Exactly! I was happy to use google...until I realized there was a cap, and that when I used it to move photos from iphone-->google-->computer that the quality was degraded, badly! Therefore I joined Amazon Prime this morning. I get Amazon music, video, shipping, and photos all for the same price I'd pay on flickr or another photo hosting site. I'm also backing up on the "Plex" which we use for video streaming at home anyways. It's free, but I don't know (yet) if it will download in good quality back to my computer.

Yesterday I was planning on starting my Christmas layout, but instead I organized a bunch of dies that had been stored on a magnetic sheet glued to the inside of a closet door because I'm running out of space. It took me hours to find the name/manufacturer of each die and label them in pockets to store in the fridge bin system I'm using (and which I love). I didn't even have a chance to look at my Christmas photos! Last night DH was watching football so I used that opportunity to head back into my craft room and start the double page layout. I spent more time trying to get my printer to print something on a 12x12 and came back into my room today to see that I didn't accomplish much. This morning I sat here staring at the page and drawing a complete blank as to how I want it to end up. So instead I researched wide format printers... and now I'm about to do some housework and do some meal planning... anything but work on a page that I have absolutely no vision for...

I came home from work and lay down for a little nap... that ended up lasting 2.5 hours. I had no intention of wasting my afternoon like that! Patter - what kind of projects will you do with all that lovely material?

This weekend I filmed and edited three process videos. One went live today and the others are scheduled to go live on Tuesday and Thursday. I also got two blog posts written, supplies pulled for a fourth process video (wanted to film today but a migraine stopped me), and cleaned up a bit more in my reorganized scraproom. I also had the huge realize about why I’m struggling so much with figuring out where to put everything. I eliminated a bunch of shelf space and didn’t replace it with anything! I’m going to Lowe’s tomorrow to buy some shelves and brackets. My blog is at OneMommyScrapping if anyone is interested.

My son was supposed to help me find the right box to put the Christmas village away in my living room so we could use that space for moving more of my scrap crap from his room. One thing led to another. The basement is much more organized, we tore down dozens of boxes, and forgot to put the village away.
I bought some fun stickers from Dollar Tree and plan on making cards for my son's teacher and aides sometime before February 14. I get more done during the week doing actual fun creative things.

Went to a weekend crop. Brought only 1.5 bags (shopping bag style) of stuff. Did 8 single page layouts and 2 both-sides PL A-style pages. Am really really happy that I got pages done for June-Sept. had a blast, used my stuff, made it work and didn't even buy any new paper (even though I'm ready for some new stuff cuz I've been a good doobie and been using my stuff).
Proud of whatever we did - scrapping, organizing, thinking, watching, shopping, communicating. Peas still at it. Don't listen to the "scrapping is dying" naysayers. Scrapping is here - if we want it.

Today I actually completed a layout for a just for fun layout Design Team. Found all my football related stuff and put it together in one bag to be stored. I have two years to scrap for DS#1 for middle school, and I think DS#2 will play again next year. My original use was for Oregon State Football, my Dad and I had season tickets for 15 years!

Went to a crop w/ my dear friend Friday & Sat. & got a few pages done. I need to organize my craft room that is overrun with Christmas chaos. I made a bit of a dent in the mess, but really must dedicate some time to it. Hope to be able to feel better about it by the end of the month.

Patter - what kind of projects will you do with all that lovely material? Oh gosh, so many ideas--tote bags, journals, Bible covers, coasters, placemats, quilts, you name it. Anything you can sew, you can use this fabric for. I am going to let the ladies in my class choose fabrics and we will make journals. Going to try to make a journal and/or Bible cover today with a beautiful piece.
