I just spied some of Tim Holtz/Sizzix new dies and the new Concord and 9th turnabout stamp knockoffs. Boy that was fast!

Has anyone seen a difference between Ali and the Wish website/app? Much of the same or is one better? I've had fun checking out both, but have yet to purchase anything.
ETA: How do you search for products? There are some really odd item descriptions for scrap items.

I've been seeing the TH stuff for a couple of weeks, not even knowing it was unreleased. Wish is terrible from what I've heard. There's no useful search or sort. AliEx has better prices and selection, but searching can be hit and miss. Either you have to try keywords, or just sort by newest in the Cutting Dies category and start digging. Once you find a shop with one product, they often have others from the same set or style.

I search by either clear stamps or cutting dies then sort by newest listed. If done on a regular basis the sifting thru all the listings isn’t as time consuming. Doing a specific search is hit or miss.

There have got to be some stamp enthusiasts in China who help keep an eye out on the new stuff. They are so. quick. with the copies. I'm amazed since this is such a niche industry.

I actually got an email from a seller asking me to let them know what people in the West are looking for.

I actually received two in the post this morning that were part of SSS's Die-cember release. (Sweet Tulip And Tree Frame.) I'm amazed at how quickly they are appearing on AX these days.

I, too have heard negative things about Wish. Seems like AX is much easier to deal with. I’ve never had a problem with AX.

Or someone has an inside connection to the plants where these are being made. (I am assuming they are being produced overseas).

And in some cases, ARE the manufacturing plant already producing the same product. Not true for all dies, but I've definitely gotten some that look and feel indistinguishable from the branded stuff.

Are we allowed to post AliEx links here? For that matter, I've been wondering if anyone would find a guide to buying cutting dies on AliExpress something helpful, and if so, what subforum would I put it in? There's a lot of not-so-obvious nuances to shopping overseas for your dies as I've come to learn.

There's very little policing of threads or links here, and mostly then it's spam clean up. There are some peas who will not support AX because they sell knockoff designs but while opinions may be strongly held they are usually expressed respectfully. I suggest you post a buying guide on this forum (General Scrapbooking... ) rather than one of the sub forums.

It's been a while since I sat down and wrote a nice crunchy tutorial/guide. Here's the dinosaurs and easter (?) animals FloralsRobots Origami AnimalsProbably not the best prices, but I'm not in the market for any of them so you'll have to do your own bargain hunting.
