And I have a love affair with Jay's hot stuff potato chips.

Lip balm. Hands down. Didn’t have any at work one day a couple of years ago and I seriously considered going home. It’s bad.

Diet Pepsi & Yarn. One I consume way too fast for my acquisition rate to keep up with, the other I don't consume nearly fast enough to keep up with my acquisition rate.

I am addicted to in wash scent boosters. I can not walk past a bottle without picking it up and sniffing it. My favorite are the Purex Crystals. I am now also using them as fabric refresher ( like Febreeze, only better ) and put them in a candle warmer to make the house smell good. I am currently vacationing in Germany and bringing home several bottles of some german brands.
I know.... I am crazy.

If you're serious about this, please seek help. My best friend of 25 years passed away last week from this very thing. OMG - thats terrible. I'm so sorry for your loss. How did that happen? I take 1/4 of my doctor's recommended daily dosage. The part that I'm obsessed about is that I have to know I have some even if I don't take it. I have a lot of anxiety and I need to know I have my safety net. Cindy

Playing a game on my phone: Covet Fashion ... it's baaaaad I was just going to post the same thing. Someone mentioned this game here a few months ago. I thought it sounded kind of dumb but checked it out anyway. I am now seriously addicted to it and get so angry when I get a bad score on an outfit I love.

Right??!! I'd never really made many hats before, just simply because you've only got one head, right? But about 3 months ago I started making them and I CAN'T STOP. I've made over 20 and still going, have 3 in the works right now. It's insanity! And I blame it all on the stupid furball pompoms lol. (maybe I'm addicted to those too)

omg! this is my quirky addiction too! i have to have ice in everything i drink. not just a few cubes but mostly ice. i just don't like tepid drinks. i love icy drinks. the only think i'll drink without ice is bottled water. my sister can drink a can of soda straight from the trunk of her warm car. blech!!! not me. i love my diet pepsi but i will actually pass on it if it doesn't have any ice. for me, dystopia will be the day that the world is devoid of ice cubes. LOL

I'm not sure if I have anything I'd go so far as to say I'm "addicted" to it. (And I know we're technically using the term loosely, but I'm interpreting it as something that makes you really sad or your life really difficult if you can'/don't have it.) For example, I love my Diet Coke, but there are times when I go at least a week without. That's probably my closest thing. I pretty much don't go a day ever without reading, and it is part of my bedtime routine so it's somewhat unsettling when I miss it for some reason. And I do definitely notice that the more sugar I eat, the more I want.
Other great loves: different teas, whatever crafty thing I'm into at the moment, chocolate, makeup, anything that comes in lots of pretty colors.

Maybe try a variety of patterns; a slouchy hat is much more forgiving than a beanie. And if you just hate it you can stick it in the donation box with the scarves

Sugar.
Like, for real, addicted. And it's added to every frigging product. So even if I'm avoiding cookies, candy, soda, dessert, and I'm just dressing my salad from a bottle, I probably just poured some damn sugar on my lettuce. I've read articles linking selective industrial farming techniques to higher natural sugars in fruits, which makes sense because a damn perfectly sweet modified grape will sell better than sour grapes. sugar is the main one for me, too. particularly candy- hard candies (pick-a-mix type candy-- peppermints, cinnamon disks, butterscotch, etc.), Hot Tamales, Milk Duds, suckers (Blow Pops, Charms pops, Tootsie Roll pops), etc. It's totally for the dopamine high, as I can't even blame it on the hormones any more!! diet soda: Diet Dr. Pepper, Coke Zero, and Diet Mountain Dew... I go through phases with all three. I actually found myself going to the grocery store specifically to pick up diet soda on sale because I knew I was running low, and realized how pathetic it was, the amount of $$ I was going to spend on a totally non-essential item with NO nutritional value whatsoever, but I just can't stop it. I don't drink coffee, so I drink diet soda for the caffeine, and for the fizz. craft shopping: not necessarily buying, although I do quite a bit of that-- but the shopping. At a place like Tuesday Morning, or finding a crafty item at a Goodwill store, for example-- the high that comes from finding craft supplies that I might be able to use (or even sometimes not really, lol) and seeing the savings in the price over what I know the list price would be. I usually talk myself out of buying the things via guilt-tripping myself (since I don't NEED any of it), but the high of the 'find' is seriously tough to overcome. my iPhone: not for the games, necessarily, but just needing to feel like I can be 'in touch' with the outside world, lol. If I forget to pick it up when I leave the house, I feel very uneasy. (and I went for MANY years without having a cell phone at all! I don't even know what my DH's cell phone # is, if I would need to contact him without having my phone, because his number is in my phone contacts. the internet, and this place: I have to check here to see what's going on before I do anything else to get my day started, lol. And the fact that I can instantly look up ANYTHING that I might want to know by using Google? like "that actor looks familiar, where have I seen him before?" or "what's the temperature in Fiji right now" or other random things that don't necessarily have ANY bearing on my daily life-- stuff like that. And don't get me started on browsing youtube videos, blogs, Instagram, and Pinterest for card ideas and scrapbook page ideas- I say that it's for "inspiration" but I do very little actual creating because I'm always surfing the damn internet!! lol.

McDonald's diet Coke. Must be McDonald's. It's my manna from heaven. Lol This is when I knew my addiction was real and ridiculous. I would drive through McDonalds every morning for a large $1 Diet Coke. I knew all the people at the drive thru window by name. There was a half a dozen times over a two month period toward the end of last year when they were out of Diet Coke. How can you be McDonalds and be out of Diet Coke?? I had to drive through Burger King, pay 2.5X as much for sub par Diet Coke and be late for work. The last time was right after Christmas. Now, I've made it 17 years never raising my voice to my daughter, but on this morning I had had it. When they said they were out of Diet Coke, I said, loudly, "oh my god, are you SERIOUS?!" And just drove away. I am so embarrassed, I can't go back. Thus began my umpteenth time of quitting. I haven't been back to McDonalds since and have slowly been weaning myself off Diet Coke every morning (I've been buying it in bottles), because it's not the same. Today is the longest I've made it. I drank a caffeine free Diet Coke at noon. I guess it took being humiliated.
