scrappysue222 mentioned the Scrapbook Generation @rush2scrap crop selling out so fast. I am wondering if any of our peas are attending? I and a friend in Colorado along with two friends in Illinois got it and we are all VERY excited!!!

You will LOVE it! I think this year they added or saved 20 extra spots to raffle off later. After it sold so fast last year they had a few negative comments on the facebook post. And I think this year they made the sign up process much faster by not having to enter the name of everyone you were registering for.
I ended up doing a vlog while I was there and shared my thoughts on it when I got home.

The vlogs I saw about it were all positive. It looked like SG put on an awesome crop and everyone had a great time. I wish I could go!

Also, SG @rush2scrap did an AMAZING job posting details and photos and all the tips about how to register and how to get on the waitlist for the last 20 raffled spots.

How quickly did it sell out this year? 3 minutes! Yes, I am going! So excited. I ended missing out on it last year and determined that I would try this year.

I wanted to go but don’t know anyone to go with! I’m hoping next year! They said they put the singles together so they can all make new friends (and not feel like a fifth wheel)! It’s amazing how fast it sold out, for 300 spots! I think it’s a testament to @rush2scrap and the rest of the SG team in what a fabulous job they do. They are amazing and know how to treat customers! Class acts all the way!

Do they just do it once a year? I am sure it is a lot of work, but maybe offering it two weekends in a row would be good also.

Thanks so much! We were amazed with the three-minute sell-out. Who even knew that could happen?! Our website handled it really well -- I was watching via the "real time" feature, and I didn't even have time to take a sip of my Diet Coke before it was over. It was thrilling, to say the least.
We have a good mix of people returning who were there in 2018 and new croppers for 2019, and the ladies who traveled from Australia and The Netherlands last year are coming back again. We've added a scrapbooker from Belgium, too, so that's fun to think how widespread the appeal is.
Quite a few people have mentioned having two, but while I would love the extra income, it just isn't possible. The event completely took over our store and our lives last year! Storing gifts from ourselves and the sponsors, the clothing people pre-ordered, the merchandise for our on-site store, and the new displays for the event takes an enormous amount of space. We ended up turning our classroom, which is good-sized, into a staging area for the event. It is already pretty full, and I won't even start stocking the 2019 We Create store until June.
We got local TV coverage last year -- I think they were amazed by the whole selling out in 12 minutes thing. I can't wait to send them a press release that says it happened in three minutes this year!

All the behind the scenes info fascinates me too - and the amount of prep work it takes to make an event amazing. Congratulations!

If I lived closer, I would definitely "try out" for going! It has always seemed like a fabulous event. Never read anything negative about SG.

I have never had a bad shopping experience there in all the years I've shopped with them. It's awesome to email and have a response so quickly, and I love that they take the time to handwrite a personal thank you on every one of my orders.

My daughter Stacey takes care of all the email/customer service issues, and my sister Karin is the one who takes the time to write the notes. I'll be sure to tell them what you said!
