whatkatewore.com/2019/01/11/kates-calendar-updates-favorite-2018-evening-gown-poll/#more-56926The gold one I find absolutely puzzling. If she was going for vintage I guess it's successful but it's neither pretty nor flattering. Even though I love yellow/gold, this is sadly at the bottom of the pile for me. The soft blush cape gown is lovely. She looks like a goddess. It's a little unflattering around the bust region but that's a pet peeve of mine so really not a big deal. An easy #2 pick for me. I LOVE the deep emerald gown!! It's flattering but simple and a beautiful color for her. She looks so much better with the pregnancy weight. This is my first place by a very wide margin. Not at all a fan of the light blue fitted gown. It looks like my 1988 prom dress - like almost exactly (except mine was pink). 4th place. The tulle/sparkle overlaid gown has me on the fence. It's very flattering on her, but seems like a matronly style. I completely respect that she has a position to fulfill, but I still see her as young and fresh, and this looks more like a MOB gown to me. I'd rate this as #3. Your thoughts?

I loved both Jenny Packham dresses on her. I chose the emerald green because the color is stunning on her.

I liked both of the last two particularly the Alexander McQueen. That gold dress was hideous from the glaring fabric to the frumpy old fashioned design. She seldom misses in her fashion choices but that was a miss.

I chose the last Jenny Packham gown. I would have chosen the other Jenny Packham dress but I can't stand the colour bottle green. If it was in any other colour I would have chosen that one.

I like the white Jenny Packham best, the green Jenny Packham next, then the pink McQueen. I don't like the Erdem at all, but because she tried something new, I'd put it ahead of the blue McQueen that looks like an '80s era prom dress made out of a wrinkled duvet.

I agree with @missjen. The periwinkle blue is my favorite. But I love her hair down like in the green dress.

I know the Alexander McQueen got a lot of flack for being too prom-like or dated, but I thought from the knees up it was absolutely stunning on her and quintessential “princess”. I forgive the prom ruffle at the bottom due to the top. My second fave is the Packham with the tulle overlay. Also very princessy. She’s really come into her own in the last few years with regards to fashion.

I’m amazed that I don’t like any of them. She is so beautiful though. The yellow looks like Julie Andrews should have run it up from some curtains and I feel the pale blue/dove grey is something Princess Diana would have worn.

I find that I don’t like most things she wears. And these dresses are no exception. I do think she is very pretty.

I detest the gold dress. I think all but the low cut green one are too frumpy!

The tulle/sparkle Jenny Packham dress is beautiful on her. Interestingly, flute4peace, I see this as the most sweet and youthful of the choices, while it looks matronly and MOB to you! We must have different eyes. I really don't care for the green one and am surprised at all the love it's getting... My second choice is the caped Alexander McQueen. She looks elegant and ethereal at the same time. The yellow one - I don't love it and would never choose it, but she kind of pulls it off. The blue prom dress - same.

I don't like any of them I voted for the dark green because I thought it looked better on her than the others.

I don’t really like any of those- who chose that selection 🤨 I think those are all the evening gowns she wore last year - she was pregnant and on maternity leave much of the year.

Is the poll only about the dress...or how Kate looks overall when she is wearing it? depending on that decides my answer. For only the dress itself, I like the last one. For overall how Kate looks...then I like her in the green one best.

1. Yellow Erdem-upscale Country Music Awards look.
2. Alexander McQueen pale pink-Kate borrowed a dress her great-grandma wore in 1966.
3. Jenny Packham bottle green-my fave. I love the simplicity and the color is gorgeous on her.
4. Alexander McQueen shirred pale blue-Kate misinterpreted the event as an 80s tribute. Also, not the most flattering color on her. I do love the jewels though.
5. Jenny Packham tulle and rhinestone gown. Ethereal and simple epitome of a princess dress. Actually I think this one is tied for first place for me.

It's hard with these choices. She's pregnant with the first 3 and super skinny for the last 2. And her shoulders are horribly slouched in the two last pictures. It makes her look cowed. She seemed to have much more visible self-esteem when she was pregnant.
The ruffles on the periwinkle one ruin the look entirely for me.
I think she looks terrible in the Alexander McQueen dress. And don't get me started on the first one.

I would have thought she'd done more than 5 evening engagements despite the timings but hey - I still don't really like any of them. I think she probably looks best overall in the bottle green one

I like the Jenny Packham one best, but I wouldn't judge anyone on their pregnancy gowns. Not because she didn't look great, but it is not the most flattering look.

I like the green one best! I think the other Jenny Packham looks good and is very youthful. I hate the Alexander McQueen! It’s like something I wore in the 80s! Although I do think the top of it is very flattering on her, however the bottom is horrendous!

The green Jenny Packham. I also love the pink McQueen.
I do not like Erdem, especially for evening gowns. Some of the day dresses are ok.

I know the blue McQueen got a lot of hate. And I didn't like it at first. But it has grown on me a lot since I first saw it.

I voted for the wrong Jenny Packham.. but I love the white one. I actually love the fabric of the Erdem but I think it is too much in a full length gown, it would be better in a cocktail dress.

The soft blue is the prettiest I think. None of those look comfortable.. I often wonder how many are? The dk green I think was plain but pretty.

After how simple and elegant her wedding dress was, all of these choices surprise me. The only one I like at all is the green. I swear that caped one looks like pictures I’ve seen of Princess Margaret in the 70s.
