I know I used to bookmark this kind of stuff on 2Peas but I guess that's gone now. I'd like to get DS (9) an introductory puberty book... something like "The Care and Keeping of You" but on the male side. I've seen Peas recommend books in the past... can you share those recommendations with me again now? Thanks!

I looked at a ton of books and rejected many of them that had too much information on sex because it wasn't what I was looking for. This book from the American Medical Association was exactly what I wanted...a primer on puberty: Boy's Guide to Becoming a TeenIt's written in a very readable format and deals with everything from basic puberty information to dealing with peer pressure and body image to romance and sex, but the sex information is very brief at the end of the book.. While it does give basic definitions of intercourse, oral, and anal sex, it's not a "how "to" book and talks also about alternatives to sex and dealing with pressure to have sex and preventing STDs

Thank you for asking this and for the suggestions. My son is soon to be 10 and we have talked about some things but I was looking for a book to see if there were some points I was missing.
